Send SOAP Notes in NextGen® Ambient Assist

You can use NextGen® Ambient Assist to generate and edit Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) notes from your patient visit, and then send them to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: NextGen® Ambient Assist replaces any existing SOAP note narrative text. To prevent blocking of ambient services, you can add api.nabla.com to your internet allowlist. You can continue with the ambient recording when you switch from wireless to cellular network or the other way around. During an ambient session, if the internet connection is lost, audio can buffer for up to two minutes and can resume with normal transcription when the connection is restored. Ambient is available by default for NextGen® Mobile Pro users. You can request and obtain complimentary NextGen® Ambient Assist trials. For unlimited NextGen® Ambient Assist and other clinical documentation workflows, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Pro package. Selecting Tests from Orders

In NextGen® Mobile, you can add laboratory and radiology tests to orders in the following ways: From the ambient-suggested tests. Note: You can place five complimentary trials of ambient orders per month. For unlimited ambient orders, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Pro package. From the provider, practice, and master list. Note: You can place 25 complimentary orders per month. For unlimited orders, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Plus or NextGen® Mobile Pro package. Note: In NextGen® Mobile, the Orders section is available for NextGen® Enterprise EHR version 6.0, and later. Create Orders in NextGen® Mobile

You can create an order for laboratory and radiology tests by selecting the necessary tests in the Today's Visit Orders section. Note: You can place 25 complimentary orders per month. For unlimited orders, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Plus or NextGen® Mobile Pro package. If you need the NextGen Healthcare Sales team to contact you for the upgrade, you can select Contact Me on the notification. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient. Select Today's Visit. Orders Section in Today's Visit Note: You must select an unlocked encounter or you can create an encounter. In NextGen® Mobile, the Orders section is available for NextGen® Enterprise EHR version 6.0 and later. Select + Add next to Orders. The + Add option is not available on locked encounters and for non-NextGen® Enterprise users. The Select Order Type view opens displaying the Laboratory and Radiology order types. You can select tests from the Suggested tab in Orders without manually searching, and send them to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can assign the task to yourself, a workgroup, or a NextGen® Enterprise user. Note: To select the ambient suggested tests, the generated ambient note must be available for the selected encounter. You can request and obtain NextGen® Ambient Assist trials. For unlimited NextGen® Ambient Assist orders, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Pro package. Open NextGen® Mobile. Add Lab and Radiology Tests to Orders

Before you begin To place orders with NextGen® Compendium in NextGen® Mobile, you must configure Use NextGen Compendium for New Orders in File Maintenance. To use favorite tests in NextGen® Mobile, you must configure favorite tests for the practice and provider in File Maintenance. For more information on configuring the favorite tests and NextGen® Compendium, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module Setup Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. You can search for and select laboratory and radiology tests from the provider, practice, and master list tests and add them to an order. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient. Select Today's Visit. Send Orders to NextGen® Enterprise EHR

You can send orders to NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and task to yourself, a workgroup, or a NextGen® Enterprise user. To send the order to NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select Send To EHR. Note: The Send To EHR option is not available when your device is offline. Note: When you send the laboratory or radiology order to NextGen® Enterprise EHR, an audit record is logged as Lab Created or Radiology Created in Audit Report Tool under the application name, Mobile. For more information on Audit Report Tool, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Audit Report Tool User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. The order is sent, and the Select Recipient(s) view opens. To send the task, select the recipient from Favorites or Workgroups, and then select Send Task.
