Print the sample report. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select or create an encounter. Select Medications on Top Toolbar. The Medications Module window opens. Medications Module Select Prescribe New to prescribe a medication. Select Add Note link. The Medication Note window opens. Medication Note Scan a barcode from your report. The result appears in the Medication Note window. Medication Note Verify that the result in the Medication Note window matches the barcode you scanned. Configure Medication Verification
You can enable or disable medication verification. If you enable medication verification, you are prompted to enter your password when you fax, print, or ePrescribe a medication even if the medication is not a controlled substance. Medication Verification In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, from the Main menu, select Tools > Preferences. The Preferences window opens. Select the Medications tab. Do one of the following: To enable medication verification, select Use Medication Verification. To disable medication verification, clear Use Medication Verification. Add Rx Note
The Medications module enables you to add, view, modify, and delete notes related to a medication. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module. Select a medication. Select the Add Note link. The Medication Note window opens. Select a type of note. Medication Note Enter the details for your note. Medication Note text Select OK. Open the Medication Review Template
You can open the Medication Review template to review medications. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Expand the Medications section. Do one of the following: Select Medication Review. If Medication Review is not available, select the ellipsis, and then select the Medication Review link. Review Medications Manually You can manually review the medications details that are taken by a patient for adherence to the prescribed medicines. Update the Adherence of a Medication You can modify a patient's adherence to medication. Review Medications Electronically You can electronically review the medications details that are taken by a patient for adherence to the prescribed medicines.
