Open
NextGen® Enterprise EHR
.
Open the Medications module.
Select a medication.
Select the
Add Note
link.
The
Medication Note
window opens.
Select a type of note.
Enter the details for your note.
Select
OK
.
The note is added for the selected medication and the
Rx Note View
pane appears.

Display Patient Conditions View
The Medications module enables you to view patient diagnoses and allergies through the Patient Condition view. The Patient Condition view enables you to add a diagnosis to the selected medication. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module. Select the Patient Condition button or the View(or Add?) link in the Problem section. The Patient Condition pane displays a list of all diagnoses and allergies information. Add Rx Note

Add Medications in the Medications Module
You can add required medication details in the Medications module to make the details appear in the Care Guidelines Paged View template. Before you begin To view medication specific details in the Care Guidelines template, you need to add a problem and medication details for the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient chart, and create an encounter. Open the Medications module. In Find, search for any medication entered in the Medication Specific template, and select the medication.The Select button is turned on. Select Select, select Edit Sig, and enter the dosage details. Add Dosage Complete the prescribing details. Add quantity and refill Select a problem, and then select Accept. Important: Ensure that the details you add in the Medications module match the details in the Medication Specific template. The medication details appear in the grid. Access External Patient Education from the Medications Module
You can access the External Patient Education resource from the Medications module. The external resource collects the RxNorm information for the selected medication and the patient’s age, age range, and gender. This information is passed through the InfoButton to the external system. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module for a patient. Enter a new medication for the patient, if required. Do one of the following: Right-click the medication, and then select Resources > External Patient Education. Select the medication, and then select Resources > External Patient Education from the toolbar of the Medications module. The application directs you to the external URL set up in File Maintenance. Note: The External Patient Education resource is also available from the Medication Search window. After you perform a search for a medication, right-click one of the search results and then select Resources > External Patient Education. Parent topic: External Patient Education
