Assign eRx Workgroups and Category to a Provider

After creating the work group and task category, you must assign them to the provider. In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System, select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click a provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the ePrescribing tab. For each Task Type in the Workgroup section, select the workgroup that receives the new workflow task and select the category that the task is placed in for the selected provider. eRx Refills Select OK to save the changes and exit the Modify Provider Information window. You can configure eRx workgroups and corresponding task list categories or tabs to optimize the daily workflow of providers and nurses who use Surescripts. Create a task list category and assign it to a provider to display all eRx refill requests in the eRx tab of the task list. Create an eRx workgroup to notify all users of eRx-related tasks in the Workflow module. A task list enables you to create task list categories and associate them with specific task list tabs. Use task list categories and tabs to assign each new task to a specific task list category. The recipients of a new task view it in the particular task list tab associated with the category. Provider Service Level

A provider who is enrolled with the Surescripts retail or mail-order pharmacy networks can perform certain actions only if the following applicable service levels are selected: New Rx sends a new Rx request to the pharmacy. Note: This service level is always enabled for enrolled providers. The Practice Rights in System Administrator must be set to Yes. Refill Request receives refill requests from pharmacies. Medication History receives a patient's entire medication history from Surescripts. Eligibility checks patient's eligibility. Rx Change receives a request from a pharmacy to change a prescription. Rx Fill receives prescription fill statuses from pharmacies that support the RxFill transaction. Rx Fill Indicator Change changes the RxFill notifications for a medication and send an update response back to the enrolled pharmacy. ePrescribing Setup

Providers ePrescribing Tab

On the ePrescribing tab of the Modify Provider Information window, you can enter electronic prescription data that is specifically used in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can enroll providers in retail and mail-order electronic prescribing networks and determine the service levels they are enrolled in. Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Refill Requests

When you electronically submit patient medication prescriptions to a pharmacy, you may receive a refill request from that pharmacy. These refill requests are unsolicited and until you respond to a request, you have no other interaction with the pharmacy that requested the refill. Each refill request creates a task in the Workflow module and the Manage Refills window in the Medications module.
