Data Share Module

The Data Share module of NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to import and export Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated CDA (C-CDA) files. These documents are used to exchange clinical information with other providers, patients, and institutions. Clinical Reconciliation Module

The Clinical Reconciliation module enables you to review the data in imported messages and documents. You can select clinical data items for inclusion in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR database. Clinical Reconciliation The Clinical Reconciliation module enables you to review a patient's existing clinical data and data from an imported Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) document, patient medication history file, or HL7 immunization registry message. Clinical Reconciliation

The Clinical Reconciliation module enables you to review a patient's existing clinical data and data from any of the following sources: An imported Continuity of Care Document (CCD) or Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) document. A patient medication history file from an ePrescribing vendor (such as SureScripts®). An HL7 message from a state immunization registry. From the review of a patient's data, you can: Add clinical data from a supported document type to the patient's chart. Replace clinical data from the patient's chart with clinical data from a supported document type. Delete clinical data from the patient's chart. Review a history of changes made to clinical data using the Clinical Reconciliation module. An alternative to the Clinical Reconciliation module is the One-Click Reconciliation feature of the CDA Viewer, which enables you to reconcile clinical items in a single C-CDA. Using the Data Share Module to Import and Export Clinical Data

You can use the Data Share module, a feature of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, to import and export Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) files to and from designated folders and exchange clinical information with other providers, patients, and institutions such as regional health information organizations (RHIOs) and the Health Information Systems Program (HISP). This Data Share module serves the same function as the Medical Summary Utility but provides a simpler user interface and superior performance. The Medical Summary Utility continues to be available, but its use is deprecated. An earlier version of the Data Share module provided access only to the NextGen® Share Carequality Service. The old version is still available for the convenience of existing users. CDA Viewer

The CDA Viewer displays Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents in a human readable form. You can customize and filter the display, add comments, or create review tasks. Launch Reconciliation from NextGen® Enterprise EHR

Before you begin To perform a clinical reconciliation from NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you must first import a patient's Continuity of Care Document (CCD) or Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), or have completed a patient medication history request. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. To reconcile all clinical data for a patient (referred to as All mode), select Clinical Reconciliation from the View menu. Note: You can also access the Clinical Reconciliation module in All mode from the Medication Review pop up template, a customized Medical Records or Demographics template or pop up.
