Data Share Module

The Data Share module of NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to import and export Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated CDA (C-CDA) files. These documents are used to exchange clinical information with other providers, patients, and institutions. Sharing Patient Data With External Providers

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can search a patient, add or modify patient information, view CDA documents in a readable format, review patient's existing clinical data, and generate age-based growth charts. The Clinical Reconciliation module enables you to review a patient's existing clinical data and data from an imported CCD and C-CDA document, a patient medication history file from an ePrescribing vendor (such as SureScripts), or an HL7 message from a state immunization registry. The CDA Viewer enables you to view CDA documents in a readable format. The Viewer also enables you to easily filter the selected sections within the document, change the order that the sections are displayed in, perform CDA validation on the document, and save the viewing options as user preferences. Clinical Reconciliation

The Clinical Reconciliation module enables you to review a patient's existing clinical data and data from any of the following sources: An imported Continuity of Care Document (CCD) or Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) document. A patient medication history file from an ePrescribing vendor (such as SureScripts®). An HL7 message from a state immunization registry. From the review of a patient's data, you can: Add clinical data from a supported document type to the patient's chart. Replace clinical data from the patient's chart with clinical data from a supported document type. Delete clinical data from the patient's chart. Review a history of changes made to clinical data using the Clinical Reconciliation module. An alternative to the Clinical Reconciliation module is the One-Click Reconciliation feature of the CDA Viewer, which enables you to reconcile clinical items in a single C-CDA. Clinical Reconciliation Results

You can import the results data from the Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA). You can import and reconcile results received from an external C-CDA to the Orders module. An audit record logs in Advance Audit when you modify user permission, reconcile the lab result or create a reference order. Layout of the Clinical Reconciliation Results Tab The Results tab displays the details of the provider and patient and also the different actions to perform. Launch Reconciliation from NextGen® Enterprise EHR

Before you begin To perform a clinical reconciliation from NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you must first import a patient's Continuity of Care Document (CCD) or Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), or have completed a patient medication history request. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. To reconcile all clinical data for a patient (referred to as All mode), select Clinical Reconciliation from the View menu. Note: You can also access the Clinical Reconciliation module in All mode from the Medication Review pop up template, a customized Medical Records or Demographics template or pop up. To reconcile specific clinical data, such as medications or problems or results (referred to as Module mode), select the appropriate module and then select the Reconcile button. Open the Full Reconciliation Module

You can use the full Clinical Reconciliation module rather than the one-click reconciliation feature for any of the following tasks: See the full set of data columns for each clinical item, rather than just the most commonly useful columns. Reconcile items from multiple Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents simultaneously. Reconcile resolved medications, allergies, or problems, not just the currently active items. Replace or delete any previously imported items. View reconciliation history.
