System Administrator needs to assign appropriate rights and permission to user groups so that only appropriate groups can perform certain tasks. The default setting for all rights is set to Yes. In System Administrator, select the required user group. Open Rights tab. Expand OPERATIONS and then select Apply Order Preferences across Practices. Select Yes under Access Rights. Note: The Access Rights default is Yes. If you set the access rights to No, you cannot select all practices while copying order preferences across practices (such as required fields), setting up the Vaccine Inventory, or updating the Vaccine Schedule in File Maintenance. Users can view and assign tasks to other users or groups while saving an order, when Task Recipients by Practice preference is set to True. In System Administrator, select View > Universal Preferences. Select Workflow. Double-click Task Recipients by Practice. To display users for a current practice while working in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Orders module or Immunizations module, set the Task Recipients by Practice value to True. Set up the Immunizations System Rights and Permissions for the appropriate User Groups. Set up the Immunizations Universal Preferences, as needed. Note: While each practice's setup may vary, depending on the specialty, ensure that you refer the Immunizations Pre-Setup Practice Considerations section after you complete the System Administration setup to ensure that you are implementing the Immunizations preferences and tasks as per the recommended best practices. Set up the Vaccine Billing codes. Select the NDC Library and add the appropriate Medical codes in the NDC Library. Set up the Vaccine Inventory. Set up Immunizations Practice Preferences. Set up the VIS documents. Set up Vaccine Custom Names. Configure other Immunization-related tasks, as required. Set up the Immunizations Summary report that is appropriate for your practice.
