Document that a Series is Complete

On the Chart or Recommendation view, select the vaccine to complete the series and click Exclusion. On the Vaccine Exclusion Form window, click the Series Completion tab. To indicate that a series is complete, select a vaccine and move the vaccine to the Series Complete section. To indicate that a series is not complete, move the vaccine to the Series Not Complete section. Include any comments, if necessary. To indicate that the patient has met the recommended schedule for the vaccine or vaccination series, select the specific vaccine group or click Check All. For each visit, you need the flexibility to work with the Immunization functions as each event occurs in real time. If needed, for example, you may need to do any of the following: View or hide dose exceptions when administering immunizations. Select and document Excluded Immunizations. Document that an Immunizations series is complete. Mark a patient who has no previously documented immunizations for reporting purposes and tracking. Report adverse events. Document erroneous or wasted immunizations. Open File Maintenance or the Vaccine Inventory as you process an Immunization order. Manage Vaccine Exclusions

You can exclude a vaccine or vaccine group for a patient and also document a vaccination series completion on the Vaccine Exclusion Form window. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To exclude a vaccine or vaccine group, do the following: Select the menu icon, select Exclusions, and then select a vaccine group from the list. The Vaccine Exclusion Form window opens displaying the Exclusions tab. Under Exclusion/Deferral Reason, select the exclusion reason. If the exclusion is a deferral, you can select the date range under Start date and End date. To exclude a single vaccine group, select the vaccine from the Available For Exclusion list. Select Vaccines

To begin the Immunizations ordering process, select a vaccine or group of vaccines on the Select Vaccine tabs. You can select vaccines using different options, such as by favorites, pediatrics, adult, categories, or searching all vaccines. To create a new immunizations order, from the Immunizations tab, select the New Order list, and select Immunization Order. The Create New Immunization Orders for patient name window opens on the Select Vaccines tab. Select scheduled vaccines for the patient using the appropriate option, for example, Favorites or Search. If a diagnosis is associated with the vaccine, the diagnosis is displayed when you select the vaccine. Note: Any unresolved diagnoses for the vaccine display for more information and consultation, if necessary. Review any existing allergies and select, if applicable. If not, select No To All Allergies. Note: The Allergy Review window does not appear automatically if it has been disabled in the Orders Practice Preferences in File Maint
