Manage Vaccine Exclusions

You can exclude a vaccine or vaccine group for a patient and also document a vaccination series completion on the Vaccine Exclusion Form window.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. To exclude a vaccine or vaccine group, do the following:
    1. Select the menu icon, select Exclusions, and then select a vaccine group from the list.
      The Vaccine Exclusion Form window opens displaying the Exclusions tab.
    2. Under Exclusion/Deferral Reason, select the exclusion reason.
      If the exclusion is a deferral, you can select the date range under Start date and End date.
    3. To exclude a single vaccine group, select the vaccine from the Available For Exclusion list.
      To exclude all listed vaccines, you can select Check All.
    4. Select Save.
  3. To document a vaccination series completion, do the following:
    1. Select the menu icon and select Series Completions.
      The Vaccine Exclusion Form window opens displaying the Series Completion tab.
    2. From the Series Not Complete list, select a vaccine and select the right arrow icon to move the vaccine to the Series Complete list.
    3. Under Comments, enter your comments if necessary.
    4. To indicate that the patient has met the recommended schedule for the vaccine or vaccination series, select the vaccine group or select Check All.
    5. Select Save & Close.
