Select the Confidential Test Indicator in File Maintenance

If you did not set the Confidential indicator for tests when the NextGen compendium was being loaded in the Orders Management Console, you can control access using File Maintenance. Select File Maintenance > System Master Files > Test Compendium. Search for the test by the NextGen Test Key, or by Description. Select to open the record. Update NextGen Test Code in a Compendium

You can update the NextGen Test associated with a test in a compendium. Open Orders Management Console. Open the download of a compendium. Select the down arrow next to the test code and select a code from the list of similar tests. Select Save or Save Modified. The new test code is saved. Note: In the Order Test Codes page of the Labcorp compendium, the New NextGen Test (Code) column displays the new test description with code, and the Current NextGen Test (Code) column displays the existing description with code from the NextGen database. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, version 5.7 and later, the Orders Management Console is used to load test compendiums. Open the Orders Management Console. Enter your credentials. The Orders Management Console window opens. Note: : Before you can see the Orders Management Console application on the application launcher, you must set the rights to it using the NextGen System Administrator. Importing Compendiums or Updates with the Orders Management Console

After you have configured the initial settings for the Orders Management Console, you can load or update a test order compendium. You must import compendiums to make them available to the Orders module; the NextGen database does not contain any compendiums initially. When running the Orders Management Console, the sequence in which you process the vendors is enforced by the program. You get an error message if you try to load a vendor list before NextGen or LOINC. You can load the compendiums in the following order: NextGen LOINC Vendors (for example, Labcorp, Veredigm labs) If you have updated the NextGen compendium file, and there are no changes to the LOINC code, you update the vendor compendium. The initial load and any updates come from the Web Server URL defined in your settings. Run the Orders Management Console from the Desktop

Early versions of the Orders Management Console were not included on the NextGen application launcher. If the Orders Management Console is installed and the icon is on your desktop, complete the following steps to run the program. Go to C:\Nextgen. Look for OrdersManagementConsole.exe. Make a shortcut for it and drag it onto your desktop. Double-click the icon . Enter your credentials. The Orders Management Console window opens. Settings for First Time Use of the Orders Management Console

To use the Orders Management Console, you start by selecting your desktop button, or select Orders Management Console from the NextGen application launcher. You are asked for a user log on. You should also choose your Enterprise and Practice. When you use the Orders Management Console the configuration options need to be set up (select Settings on the bottom left on the screen). When you use the Orders Management Console for the first time, if the required settings are incomplete, a warning is displayed. Note: : This warning is displayed every time the Orders Management Console is started with undefined or incomplete settings.
