Orders Module

You can use the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Orders module to create and manage your lab and radiology orders (also known as diagnostic imaging orders). You can perform the following tasks from the Orders module: Place and send lab and radiology orders. Complete unfinished lab or radiology orders for a patient that originate from a bulk order generated through NextGen Care® Population Management Hub. Choosing advanced imaging tests by their appropriate use criteria (AUC) scores when you place a radiology order. Set up order filters for your practice or private use. Set up schedules for future and recurring orders. Add, view, and track order comments from different areas of the Orders module. Enter test results manually or view test results received from an interface. Send lab results to NextGen® PxP Portal. Setting up Rights and Preferences for the Immunizations Module

The System Administrator should work closely with the core team of the practice to ensure that appropriate rights, preferences, SAP® Crystal Reports®, other reports, and other tasks are set up for the user groups. The administrator needs to update the Setup when the business needs change for the practice. Some functions and preferences are same for the Immunizations module and the Orders module. Therefore, if you are using the Orders module, ensure that you set up the preferences for the Orders module before you set up the Immunizations module. Orders Setup and Maintenance

The Orders Module supports both standard lab tests (blood work, urinalysis, etc.) and radiology tests (x-rays, MRIs, etc.). These tests must be selected and defined for your practice. You can use the tests in the NextGen® compendium; you can use the tests from your testing entities (such as Labcorp); or, you can define your own set of tests. Before setting up the NextGen Compendium or Orders Tests, to ensure the most recent compendiums are loaded, your system administrator must run the Order Management Console. The test settings, questions and other definitions for the Orders Module are set up using File Maintenance. The master files store all data needed by the Orders Module, and they must also be properly set up before you can use the Orders Module. You should define these Orders master files first: Order Tests, Order Components, Order Test Favorites, Order AOE Questions and Order AOE Answers. CPOE Configuration Requirements

Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) is available on NextGen® Enterprise EHR from version 5.9.2020.1 onwards. Pre-Setup Considerations for Immunizations SAP Crystal Reports

Two forms of SAP Crystal Reports can exist in your database: the standard set of SAP Crystal Reports for NextGen® Enterprise EHR and custom SAP Crystal Reports (if created by your practice). NextGen Healthcare has developed an update process for all default SAP Crystal Reports used by NextGen® Enterprise EHR for Immunizations data and it is included with the upgrade. Before you can generate and print the reports, setup is required in the NextGen System Administrator. The reports must also be loaded in your database before you can access and set them up.
