RxChange Response Types
The current RxChange response types are updated with the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) SCRIPT 2017071 Standards. The providers can continue using the RxChange transaction and remain compliant with NCPDP standards.
The RxChange response types are:
RxChange Response Type | Description |
---|---|
Approved | Accepts the pharmacy's request. The original medication becomes inactive and a new medication entry is created. |
Approved with Changes | Enables the provider to make changes to the pharmacy's request before responding. The original medication becomes inactive and a new medication entry is created. |
Deny | Does not make any changes to either the original medication or the patient's records. |
Validated | Enables the provider to select Approve and send a Validated response. This response is applicable only to the Prescriber Authorization request. |
Denied | Enables the provider to select Deny and send a Denial response and select a reason for denial. This response is applicable only to the Prescriber Authorization request. |
