Filtering Problems in the Problem List

You can set criteria on the problem list toolbar to specify the problems you want to view in the problems list. You can view active, tracked, and chronic problems. Open the Problems Module.. In the problem list toolbar, select the Status Selection list, and do one of the following: To view all active and resolved problems, select Show All Statuses. To view only the active problems, select Show Active Problems Only. To view the problems that you added to your tracked problems list, select the Show My Tracked Problems Only check box. To view the problems that are specified as chronic, select the Show Chronic Problems Only check box. Ungroup and Group the Problems in the Problem List

By default, problems are grouped according to the preferred description, and the SNOMED® fully specified name. To ungroup the problems in the problem list, select Preferences in the problem list toolbar, and select Ungroup. The problems merge into Active, Inactive, Recurrence, Relapse, Remission, or Resolved groups. Problem List To group the problems in the problem list, select Preferences and select Regroup. The problems in the problem list appear in a tree-view structure. Do any of the following: To expand the tree-view structure for all problems, select Preferences and select Expand All. Problem List Columns

You can select the columns you want to view in the problem list. You can change the display order of a column and specify how you want to view the contents of a column. You can pin columns so that their position is static. A pinned column appears in the position you assign in the View Preferences window. Each column heading also has an up arrow and down arrow to control whether the column content lists in ascending or descending order respectively. For example, if the Onset Date column heading displays a down arrow, the problems with the most recent onset date appear at the top of the column and the problems with the oldest onset date appear at the bottom of the column. Modify the Problem List Data Entry Fields

You can modify the problem list data entry fields for problems selected in the Problems List tab. Open the Problems Module. From the problems list, select a problem. Verify that the information entered in Concept ID, Description and Fully Specified Name are correct. To modify the Onset Date, select the arrow and use the calendar. To modify the Resolved Date, select the arrow and use the calendar. If you select a date in the future, NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays a warning message. Selecting a correct Resolved Date enters the user's ID in the read-only Resolved By field and activates the Resolved Reason field. If you have selected a Resolved Date, enter a reason for resolving the problem in the Resolved Reason field. From the Problem Status list, select a status. Problem List

The top half of the Problem List tab displays all the problems in a patient's chart. You can modify certain details associated with each problem. The patient's problems appear based on their statuses in a tree-view format. The problems are categorized as active, inactive, recurrence, relapse, remission and resolved. You can expand or collapse the tree view using the and buttons. Problem List Problem List Toolbar The problem list toolbar displays options to modify the list of problems. Customize the Problem List Columns

Open the Problems Module. To view a list of settings for the problem list, select Preferences on the problem list toolbar. Select or clear the applicable check boxes. Set Columns to Display To determine which columns to view in the problem list and their display order: Select Set Columns to Display. The View Preferences window opens. View Preferences To add a column to the problem list, select the column name in the Available Columns list, and then select Add. To add all columns, select Add All. To remove a column from the problem list, select the column name in the Display these fields in this order list, and then select Remove. To remove all columns, select Remove All. To set the display order of a column, select the column name in the Display these fields in this order list, and then select Move Up or Move Down.
