Submit Changes to SureScripts

Navigate to your production environment share > environments > [database] > components folder. ePrescribingProviderMigration.exe Double-click ePrescribingProviderMigrationUtility.exe. The ePrescribing Provider Migration Utility window opens. Note: The utility displays all providers in your system with an active enrollment in Surescripts Retail network of pharmacies. Resolve all issues indicated in the Status column for the providers highlighted in red. Do one or more of the following: Expand the Status column. Resolve Issues

You must resolve all issues to use ePrescribing with NextGen® Enterprise EHR, 8 and to migrate to the Surescripts 2017071 compatible standard. All potential enrollment issues must be resolved before using ePrescribing. Log on to File Maintenance. From Master Files, select System > EHR. Select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click the provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the appropriate tab and add or modify the information as necessary to resolve all potential issues associated with Surescripts migration to the latest standard. Select the ePrescribing tab. Ensure that the provider has all applicable Retail Service Levels selected. In the Networks section, select open menu . Select Retail > Enroll. Modify Provider Information The ERx Message Submission confirmation window opens. Select OK. The values are added for the Retail settings. Status. ePrescribing Requirements

NextGen® Enterprise EHR version 8 supports the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) SCRIPT 2017071 standard. As part of the upgrade production process, Surescripts® Provider Identifier information is migrated to a new Surescript directory supporting the NCPDP SCRIPT 2017071 standard. Before upgrading, prescribers must complete the following: All eRx request which include Refill and RxChange should be responded to before the production upgrade to8 begins. Accessing any Refill or RxChange requests after the upgrade will result in an error and responses will not be allowed to be sent electronically. A phone call to the pharmacy may be needed for any missed requests. Refill Request can be managed in the Clinical Inbox and Medication module (includes Unmatched and Manage Refills). Verify Provider Enrollment

Beginning with NextGen® Enterprise EHR, 5.9.2020.1 or higher, you must ensure that enrolled providers are migrated to the latest Surescripts® messaging standard, Surescripts 6.1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the View menu, select eRx Status. The eRx Status window opens. eRx Status From the User list, select <All Users>. From the Provider list, select <All Providers>. From the Message Type list, select UpdatePrescriberLocation. If needed, select a date range. Select Search. Migrating Providers to Surescripts 2017071-Compatible Messaging Standards

To successfully ePrescribe after upgrading to NextGen® Enterprise EHR8, providers enrolled with the Surescripts Retail network must meet all requirements for ePrescribing. This utility helps validate providers to ensure they meet these requirements and helps you resolve any issues that may exist. When you have completed the validation and resolved all issues, you must ensure that your enrolled providers are migrated to the Surescripts 2017071-compatible messaging standard by submitting the changes to Surescripts. Note: If you are a NextGen Healthcare hosted client, you must contact NextGen Healthcare Support for assistance to complete the processes required to migrate your providers. The ePrescribing Provider Migration utility only needs to run if you are upgrading from any version other than 5.9.2020.1.
