PAQ Icons

The following icons appear in the Provider Approval Queue tab. Icon Description Indicates a NextGen® Enterprise Document item. Indicates a NextGen® Enterprise Image item. Indicates a Note item. Indicates a NextGen Document Management item. Indicates an Orders item. Indicates a high-priority clinical task. For example, if you select a test order in the Orders module and add result information to it when you save the order, it is marked high priority in the Workflow module. You can select the task to notify the provider (or other appropriate clinical staff) that the results for the test have been received. Indicates a Reports item. Indicates an HIE Document item. View Items Not Ready for Sign Off

You can view PAQ items not ready for sign-off by providers in the Pending tab. These items cannot be accepted or rejected, but you can add a comment or task for them or reassign them. The number of these items for the selected provider is displayed in red in the item list. Access the Pending tab in the PAQ. In the bottom of the item list, select the Display results not yet ready for sign off check box. The items appear in the list with a icon. View Provider Signoff Details from Encounter History

You can view the current signoff details and comments from the previous provider for a pending, rejected, or signed off PAQ item. You can add new provider signoff comments only if the selected item is signed off or rejected. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Open the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. In the Pending tab, select an item from the list.A preview of the item is displayed in the viewing pane. Select Chart.The Encounter History tab opens, with the item selected is attached to. Select the button. Select the item to view the current signoff details and comments, and select the button. Select Provider Sign-off Details.The Provider Sign-off Details window opens. The window shows the current signoff status, the rendering provider, the reassigned provider, if applicable, and comments. PAQ Tabs

The PAQ contains the following tabs. Pending Lists the items for which approval by the selected provider is pending. Rejected List the items rejected by the selected provider. History Lists the items accepted, rejected, and reassigned by the selected provider. You can select an item on any tab to view the details of the item. If you have the view items across practices preference set up, you can use the Practice list to view the items from a particular practice. You can also select the type of items to view in the Items list. Note: You can select or clear all the item selections using the Select All check box on the PAQ tabs. The selection of items filter on the Pending or Rejected tab is retained for the other tab but you must make a separate selection of items for the History tab. If at least one item is not selected in the Items list, the Select All check box gets cleared. The last selected items filter is retained on all the PAQ tabs. For items in the PAQ, you can perform: View items not ready for sign-off. Accept an item and sign-off on it with or without actions. Assign other users to sign off the document. Add comments. Signoff Patient Document

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR you can sign off (accept) each patient document. If the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) is enabled, you can sign off the document either in the PAQ or directly in the Documents module. When a document is accepted in one location, it is automatically listed as accepted in the other location. If the PAQ is not enabled, you can only sign off the documents in the Documents module. The Signoff Status Icons indicate the signoff status of the patient document in the Encounter History or Caretories tab. - Pending - Rejected - Accepted For more information on using the PAQ, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Workflow Module Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Generate a patient document. Make any required changes. You can enter the information directly into the document and use the standard formatting toolbar options. Select File and select Save.
