PAQ Items

For items in the PAQ, you can perform: View items not ready for sign-off. Accept an item and sign-off on it with or without actions. Assign other users to sign off the document. Add comments. PAQ Tabs

The PAQ contains the following tabs. Pending Lists the items for which approval by the selected provider is pending. Rejected List the items rejected by the selected provider. History Lists the items accepted, rejected, and reassigned by the selected provider. You can select an item on any tab to view the details of the item. If you have the view items across practices preference set up, you can use the Practice list to view the items from a particular practice. You can also select the type of items to view in the Items list. Note: You can select or clear all the item selections using the Select All check box on the PAQ tabs. The selection of items filter on the Pending or Rejected tab is retained for the other tab but you must make a separate selection of items for the History tab. If at least one item is not selected in the Items list, the Select All check box gets cleared. The last selected items filter is retained on all the PAQ tabs. Provider Approval Queue

To use the PAQ, you must enable it first and set up the provider assignment and relationship, required signoff items, and operations rights in the System Administrator application. As a provider or delegate, you can access the PAQ from the Workflow module. Note: A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to PAQ items. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same PAQ items as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient and Description columns. PAQ Item Icons in the Encounter History and Categories

The PAQ items display the status indicator icons followed by the item name and date on the Encounter History and Categories tabs. The icon indicates the PAQ pending item. The indicates the PAQ rejected item. The indicates the PAQ approved item. For more information, you can view the Current Sign-off Status, Rendering Provider, Reassigned Provider, and Sign-off Comments in the Provider Signoff Details window for the selected item, if applicable. Signoff Patient Document

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR you can sign off (accept) each patient document. If the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) is enabled, you can sign off the document either in the PAQ or directly in the Documents module. When a document is accepted in one location, it is automatically listed as accepted in the other location. If the PAQ is not enabled, you can only sign off the documents in the Documents module. The Signoff Status Icons indicate the signoff status of the patient document in the Encounter History or Caretories tab. - Pending - Rejected - Accepted For more information on using the PAQ, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Workflow Module Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Generate a patient document. Make any required changes. You can enter the information directly into the document and use the standard formatting toolbar options. Select File and select Save.
