Orders - Allow Fax	A Yes/No selection for Access Rights to Fax test order detail to an external system.
Orders - Allow Interface Send	A Yes/No selection for Access Rights that allows the user to send order information through the labs interfaces to a third party system.
Allow Registry Query	A Yes/No selection for Access Rights allows the user to do a query of the registry.
Allow Updating Imm Order on Locked Encounter	A Yes/No selection for Access Rights enable the user to update Immunization orders that have a locked encounter.
Allow Updating Practice Filters	A Yes/No selection for Access Rights allows the user to customize the practice filters using the Manage Filters button.
Modify Lab Critical Range Alert	A Yes/No selection for Access Rights allows the user to change the critical range alert for orders
View Lab Critical Range Alert	A Yes/No selection for Access Rights allows the user to see the critical range alerts for orders
Allow Access to Auto Release application	A Yes / No selection for Access Rights enables the user to access the Auto Release function.

Set Up Rights for the Orders Module

To be able to use all of the features in the Orders module, settings in System Administrator have to be set. When set to Yes, it gives system users the rights to create and save orders and perform other functions through the Orders module. CAUTION: If users can access the Medical Records template with the Trend Results order control, they are able to view a patient’s test results. If your practice determines only certain users should be able to view a patient’s test results when they access the Medical Records template, you can set up the applicable Modules, Templates-Medical Records permissions in the System Administrator application. Orders Operation

Subgroup Used in Description Allow Fax NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to fax lab results or radiology orders in the Orders module. Allow Interface Send NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to send labs results or radiology orders electronically. Allow Registry Query NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to do a query of the registry. Allow Search Orders NextGen® Enterprise EHR Enables users to display the Orders Search bar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR when a patient's chart is open (this is the Default). You can change the setting to turn the search bar display off (set to No). If this option is turned on (set to Yes), but the Enable Search Bar Practice or the Search Bar command is turned off, the Orders Search bar is not displayed in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Set Up the Security Rights to Access Results

You can provide access to users to add, view, and delete the lab results. Open System Administrator. Select the practice and the user group. Select the Rights tab. Select Modules to expand the list. Select Discrete Data Import to expand the list. Select Results. To enable the Reconcile button in the Orders module and to enable the Results tab in the Clinical Reconciliation module, select View. To add a new panel, select Add. To replace any of the panel data or results, select Delete. If practice users have access to Discrete Data Import, then all the options are selected by default. The Update and Print options are not used for the lab results. To select or disable all the access rights for this group, select Select/Deselect All. Select Save. Defining Private and Practice Orders Filters Defining Private and Practice Orders Filters You can create private or practice filters to select the type of order information to display for an individual patient on the Orders Summary grid or for multiple patients on a custom Practice template created with the Orders Management order control. When you create a practice filter, it is available to all users in your practice. To create a practice filter, you must have permission for Allow Updating Practice Filters set in System Administrator > Enterprise Practice > Enterprise Practice > Security Group > Rights > Operations > Orders. To create a private filter, the Allow Providers to Maintain Favorites practice preference must be selected in File Maintenance > Practices Preferences > Orders Module > Lab/Rad. Setting up Rights and Preferences for the Immunizations Module

The System Administrator should work closely with the core team of the practice to ensure that appropriate rights, preferences, SAP® Crystal Reports®, other reports, and other tasks are set up for the user groups. The administrator needs to update the Setup when the business needs change for the practice. Some functions and preferences are same for the Immunizations module and the Orders module. Therefore, if you are using the Orders module, ensure that you set up the preferences for the Orders module before you set up the Immunizations module.
