Set Up Rights for Sign Off on Orders Results

To sign off Orders Results, a setting in NextGen System Administrator has to be turned on. When set to Yes, it gives system users rights to update the NextGen test results. Open System Administrator and enter your credentials. Select the practice. Select to select the user to whom you want to give Orders Results Sign Off rights. Select the Rights tab. Scroll through the list to find the Orders Results Sign Off right. In the Access Rights section in the right pane, check the box by Yes or No. A Yes selection allows a user with this setting to sign off on test and radiology orders. Select Save. Setting Up the Security Rights to Access Clinical Reconciliation Immunizations data

To reconcile Immunizations data, users must have access to the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Clinical Reconciliation module. To provide this access, set up the user rights in System Administrator Module. Open System Administrator. Select the practice. Select the appropriate user group. Select the Rights tab. Select Modules to expand the list. Scroll through the list to find the Discrete Data Import option. Select the Immunizations option. To provide Access Rights for this group, select Yes in each of the access options (that is, View, Add, Update, Delete, and Print). The Access Rights default is Yes. To select or disable all of the Access Rights for this group, select Select/Deselect All. To save your changes, select Save. Enable the system to perform the Registry Query operations in System Administrator by selecting Operations > Orders > Allow Registry Query. Open the Orders Module

You can open the Orders module from Top Toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to create and manage your orders . You can also access orders from the applicable templates if you are using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to place orders. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window opens. To open the Orders module, do one of the following: Select Orders on the Quick Buttons panel. Manage Orders for All Patients across a Practice

To process multiple patients within your practice, you can create an Orders Management Controls practice template in Template Editor. You can then access this template in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR as a Practice Template to view, manage, or send orders for multiple patients in their practice. This information is drawn from the Orders module. The orders listed and the data displayed on each order line are based on the selected predefined system or private user or practice-level filter. The first column displays an icon that identifies the order type (lab, radiology, or immunizations). Icons that identify recurring and future orders display in the second column. You can select the icon to view the order schedule. Practice filters may display other information. The Orders Management Control practice template top toolbar contains commands for the actions you can perform on each order. Managing Orders from a Medical Records Template

The Orders Summary order control field on a Medical Records template displays a list of all orders related to the current patient from the Orders module. The orders listed and the data displayed on each order line are based on the selected predefined system or private user or practice-level filter. The first column displays an icon that identifies the order type (lab, radiology, or immunizations). Icons that identify recurring and future orders display in the fourth column. You can select the icon to view the order schedule. Practice and user-defined filters may display other information. The top toolbar displays different commands based on the selected order filter. Note: You must have the applicable access rights to add, update, or delete an order.
