Order Hillrom™ HeartCentrix® Reports

Typically, you order a test in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, perform the test at the acquisition device, and then go back to NextGen® Enterprise EHR to view the results. After a test is requested, the HeartCentrix® application automatically matches a test to a specific order. If you order a test that was previously performed, you need to match an existing test to the order you are creating.

  1. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, load a patient and select a location and provider.
  2. Open the Integrated Equipment Module
  3. From the Acquire Report list, select a Cardiac Science device (ECG, Exercise ECG, or Holter) .
    The HeartCentrix Auto Search window opens. The system updates the screen every five seconds for tests coming in from acquisition devices.

  4. If tests are listed, highlight the pertinent test and select Select to match the order to the test.
    If no matches appear, select Tests Received to display the Manual Search tab and list all the tests received since the order was received.

  5. If tests are listed, highlight the pertinent test and select Select to match the order to the test.
  6. If no matches appear, enter or change the search criteria, such as Start Date or End Date and select Find.

    Once you select an ECG, Exercise ECG, or Holter test in HeartCentrix® , a new corresponding Cardiac Science report appears in the IEM grid with a status of Ordered, and an Equipment Report indicator appears in the History toolbar under the encounter.
