NextGen® Enterprise PM Charges for Locked Encounters
You can update patient procedures in NextGen® Enterprise with charges from NextGen® Enterprise PM whether the encounter is locked or not. If a modification to a specific charge is performed in NextGen® Enterprise PM (or any other external source), the change is automatically applied to the applicable patient procedure in NextGen® Enterprise.
You cannot modify a patient procedure in NextGen® Enterprise within a locked encounter. To perform updates to patient procedure charges against a locked encounter, you must enable the Allow patient procedure activity against a locked encounter from the EPM or external source preference in Practice Preferences in File Maintenance.
