Medication Allergy Reactions and Types

NextGen® Enterprise EHR allows you to define allergy reactions and types. An Allergy Type enables you to group the allergies according to user-defined similarities (such as Food, Painkillers).

An allergy reaction is the effect an allergy has on a patient (such as rash, sneezing, hives). Both allery type and allergy reaction are user-defined. Contact your system administrator to set up allergy type and allergy reaction choices.
