Launch Patient Education Topics from a Template

You can display a preselected or context-sensitive patient education topic depending on the Patient Education trigger setup. Context sensitivity is based on the CPT or ICD-9 code, terms, or title and language selected during the encounter. To display a patient education topic related to a particular CPT or ICD-9 code, a procedure or diagnosis must be saved to the encounter.

After you display a patient education topic, you can save it to the encounter. The topic remains viewable when the encounter is locked.
