Search for Documents
In the Data Share pane, select the Search tab. Search Tab Expand the Endpoints list, and select all endpoints that you want to search.Depending on your system configuration, the Endpoints list may include the following: Regional health information organizations (RHIOs) Health information services providers (HISPs) Carequality To limit the search to a selected date range, enter values for Start Date, End Date, or both. To limit the search in additional ways, select Advanced Parameters. Note: These parameters are available only if you selected a single endpoint and advanced queries were previously enabled for that endpoint in the HIE Gateway configuration webpages. For assistance with HIE Gateway configuration, contact NextGen Healthcare Support. Advanced Parameters From the Status list, select one or more values. Import from a Folder
You can use the Data Share module to import documents from a folder on a hard disk or portable media device. These documents can be Continuity of Care Document (CCD), Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), or Cross-enterprise Document Media Interchange (XDM) documents.In the Data Share pane, select the Open a CCD File or XDM Document icon. Open a CCD File or XDM Document The Import From File window opens. Import From File Select an endpoint, which determines which external system is used for cross-references and which agents are used to process the document on import. Use the ellipsis button to browse to a file. Select Import. If the CCD Encryption Password window opens, enter the password supplied by the document provider, and select OK. In the Data Share module, you can import Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) documents from external systems or from folders. Viewing the History and Updating Documents
To see the results of previous searches or exports, you can use the Home tab in the Data Share module. Configure CCD and C-CDA Imports
In the Data Share pane, select Open the Data Share Settings Slider Open the Data Share Settings Slider, then configure the following options as appropriate: To enable users to display document relationships (original, replacements, and addenda) in a tree view when accessing the Documents Manager, select Include Document Relationship. To always attempt to retrieve the latest on-demand snapshot from the exchange if an attempt to import a document from an on-demand source fails, select Retrieve On-Demand snapshot. To include consent documents when importing from a repository, select Include Consent Documents. To automatically start the Clinical Reconciliation module after importing documents, select Auto launch reconciliation module. Open the CDA Viewer During a Data Share Module Import
In the Data Share module, you can open the CDA Viewer to view a document after an import. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Data Share Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and load a patient. On the quick buttons panel, select Data Share icon. In the Data Share pane, select the Search tab. Expand the Endpoints list, and select all the endpoints that you want to search. Select Initiate Search. In the Completed pane, select an entry in the Search Date column. Search Date on the Search Tab A document list pane opens on the right. Document List Pane To view any single document, select the value in the Title column. The document opens in the CDA Viewer.
