SAP® Crystal Reports® for Orders

SAP® Crystal Reports® packaged in NextGen® Enterprise EHR include reports specific to test orders. You can generate, view, and print both standard and custom practice SAP Crystal Reports. For test orders, you can use the standard set of orders-based SAP Crystal Reports to create reports for lab and radiology orders for your practice. You can create a report for the current encounter for the current patient. You can also map multiple tests to the same AOE question. Before the standard SAP Crystal Reports for test orders can be used to generate or print reports, set up is required in System Administrator. The reports must also be loaded in your database before you can access and set up those reports. Setting up Rights and Preferences for the Immunizations Module

The System Administrator should work closely with the core team of the practice to ensure that appropriate rights, preferences, SAP® Crystal Reports®, other reports, and other tasks are set up for the user groups. The administrator needs to update the Setup when the business needs change for the practice. Some functions and preferences are same for the Immunizations module and the Orders module. Therefore, if you are using the Orders module, ensure that you set up the preferences for the Orders module before you set up the Immunizations module. Administering Immunizations

Each patient is unique and the Immunizations module provides flexibility and efficient functionality to help you administer each immunization according to patient needs. After you determine which immunization the patient needs, the next step is to administer the specific Immunization order. Each order requires certain information about the vaccine and other pertinent information such as billing codes, registry, and special patient needs, for example Medicare patients. During the administration process, you can review the VIS history, print the VIS document, track the Immunizations life cycle for each order, and administer a vaccine not in the Vaccine Inventory. After you have administered the immunization, for your records, you can print the Immunization Summary report to view a patient’s immunizations. Orders Module

You can use the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Orders module to create and manage your lab and radiology orders (also known as diagnostic imaging orders). You can perform the following tasks from the Orders module: Place and send lab and radiology orders. Complete unfinished lab or radiology orders for a patient that originate from a bulk order generated through NextGen Care® Population Management Hub. Choosing advanced imaging tests by their appropriate use criteria (AUC) scores when you place a radiology order. Set up order filters for your practice or private use. Set up schedules for future and recurring orders. Add, view, and track order comments from different areas of the Orders module. Pre-Setup Considerations for Immunizations SAP Crystal Reports

Two forms of SAP Crystal Reports can exist in your database: the standard set of SAP Crystal Reports for NextGen® Enterprise EHR and custom SAP Crystal Reports (if created by your practice). NextGen Healthcare has developed an update process for all default SAP Crystal Reports used by NextGen® Enterprise EHR for Immunizations data and it is included with the upgrade. Before you can generate and print the reports, setup is required in the NextGen System Administrator. The reports must also be loaded in your database before you can access and set them up. Set up the Immunizations Summary Report Basic Workflow

After the upgrade, copy all of the updated SAP Crystal Reports from your NextGen Root directory to the location used for SAP Crystal Reports by your practice. For the Immunizations Summary report types (that is, original, CDC format, and Detail), copy the reports from \Distributed Reports\Crystal Reports to your Reports path. Tip: This path is defined in System Administrator > View > Universal Preferences > Reports > Reports Path. Determine which Immunization report your practice needs to generate when administering Immunizations in the Immunizations module (that is the Immunizations Summary report, Immunizations Summary report (CDC format, or the Immunizations Detail report). Select the appropriate Immunizations report to copy to the NextGen Root Directory. Save the file. Select the printer.
