Export Patient Documents to NextGen® PxP Portal
You can export documents to NextGen® PxP Portal for an enrolled patient.
- To select documents for export, follow step 1 to step 5 in Select Patient Documents for Export.
- On the Export Patient Documents window, select Patient Portal, and then select Export.
If you have included sensitive data, the Sensitive Encounter data selected window opens.
- To cancel the export, select Cancel sending.
The Export Patient Documents window comes back in view. You can change your selections, and then select Export again.
- To continue, select Proceed.
After you select Export or Proceed, the Send Documents to <Patient Name> window opens, listing the selected documents.To search the list of documents, enter the first few letters of the name.
- To cancel the export, select Cancel sending.
- Do one of the following:
- In the comments box, enter your comments, using up to 1,000 characters.
- To insert a standard response from the Standard Responses section, either drag it into the comment box or double-click it.
If required, you can edit the response or right-click the right pane to insert a practice or person/patient information (for example, name or address) field. Standard responses can be set up in File Maintenance (practice defined) or can be user defined (customized).

- To continue the export, select OK.
The Document Export window opens, notifying you that the patient documents were exported successfully.
An email notification is sent to the patient email address, and the item is added to NextGen® PxP Portal document history.
