Export Patient Documents to NextGen® PxP Portal

You can export documents to NextGen® PxP Portal for an enrolled patient. To select documents for export, follow step 1 to step 5 in Select Patient Documents for Export. On the Export Patient Documents window, select Patient Portal, and then select Export. If you have included sensitive data, the Sensitive Encounter data selected window opens. To cancel the export, select Cancel sending. The Export Patient Documents window comes back in view. You can change your selections, and then select Export again. To continue, select Proceed. After you select Export or Proceed, the Send Documents to <Patient Name> window opens, listing the selected documents. To search the list of documents, enter the first few letters of the name. Do one of the following: In the comments box, enter your comments, using up to 1,000 characters. View Patient Portal Document History

When you export a graph from a patient chart to the patient NextGen® PxP Portal account, the system creates an audit trail of when it was sent and any comments which were added. The system also records when the patient opens the document from the NextGen® PxP Portal web site. Locate the graph to send under the encounter on the Encounter History tab. Select the button. Select the item to view, and select the button. Select Patient Portal History Details. The Patient Portal Document History window opens. When you send a NextGen® Enterprise EHR patient chart item such as a document, image, or SAP® Crystal Reports® to a NextGen® PxP Portal, the system creates an audit trail. Save a Medical Records Template Chart to an Encounter

You can save a Medical Records template graph or a growth chart to the patient encounter on the Encounter History tab. After it is saved, you can open it and select options to print, fax, annotate, or export it, or add a signature. If the patient is enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal, you can export the saved graph to the patient NextGen® PxP Portal account for easy retrieval by the patient, parent, or guardian. You can also view NextGen® PxP Portal document export and receipt history for a graph. Open the patient to save the graph for to an encounter. Generate a Medical Records template or growth chart. Right-click the graph or growth chart (shown in example below), and select Save to Chart. The graph is saved under the selected encounter on the Encounter History tab and is visible when you expand the encounter.

Send Patient Documents

Before you begin To send the NextGen® Document Management images to NextGen® PxP Portal, ensure that the Rights > Operations > Imaging > Send Doc Mgmt Image to Patient Portal in System Administrator must be set to True and the necessary access rights must be enabled. If the right is set to No, the Send to Patient Portal option appears disabled for the selected image. You must also select the Patient Portal Accessible check box for the document type in File Maintenance. You can export documents, images, or SAP® Crystal Reports® objects from NextGen® Enterprise EHR to NextGen® PxP Portal for patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. Before you begin You must do the following: Complete enrollment in NextGen® PxP Portal. Add the NextGen® Document Management image to a patient's chart. Set up image rights in System Administrator. Configure document types and sending annotations with images in File Maintenance. In NextGen® Document Management, you can send documents and images to NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: You cannot send documents larger than 15 MB. However, you can set the size limit for sending documents to NextGen® PxP Portal in System Administrator.
