Export Patient Documents to NextGen® PxP Portal

You can export documents to NextGen® PxP Portal for an enrolled patient. To select documents for export, follow step 1 to step 5 in Select Patient Documents for Export. On the Export Patient Documents window, select Patient Portal, and then select Export. If you have included sensitive data, the Sensitive Encounter data selected window opens. To cancel the export, select Cancel sending. The Export Patient Documents window comes back in view. You can change your selections, and then select Export again. To continue, select Proceed. After you select Export or Proceed, the Send Documents to <Patient Name> window opens, listing the selected documents. To search the list of documents, enter the first few letters of the name. Do one of the following: In the comments box, enter your comments, using up to 1,000 characters. Export Patient Documents to Your Local Disk

To select documents for export, follow step 1 to step 5 in Select Patient Documents for Export. On the Export Patient Documents window, select Local Disk, and then select Export. If you have included sensitive data, the Sensitive Encounter data selected window opens. To cancel the export, select Cancel sending. The Export Patient Documents window comes back in view. You can change your selections, and then select Export again. To continue, select Proceed. After you select Export or Proceed, if a file with the same name already exists on your local disk, a message window opens, prompting you to confirm overwriting the existing file. To cancel the export, select Cancel. To overwrite the existing file, select OK. A Document Export window opens while the file is sent to your local disk. You can export a .pdf file of selected patient documents to NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger, to your local disk, or to the patient NextGen® PxP Portal account. From the Patient Lookup window, open an enrolled patient and open the patient record. From the File menu, select Export Patient Documents. The Export Patient Documents window opens with a list of the patient encounters and any attached documents. Sensitive Encounters are identified by a Sensitive Encounter icon on the left. To add items from Available Documents to Documents to be Exported, do one of the following: To add a single document, expand the encounter it is in, select the item, and select the right button. To add all documents, select the Move All button. To remove items from Documents to be Exported, do one of the following: To remove a single document, select it and then select the left button. Configure Security for Exported Files

When NextGen Healthcare Support configures the NextGen® Enterprise Rosetta Interface Messenger for you, they can configure an agent to handle file exports from the Data Share module. As part of this configuration, they specify the folder where files are exported to. To ensure the security of exported patient Protected Health Information (PHI), you should Use Windows folder and file security options to ensure that the exported files folder can be accessed only by trusted personnel. Ensure that physical access to the server is limited to trusted personnel. If you copy the files to a portable media device, encrypt the device or the exported files using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) – 128-bit or higher. NextGen® PxP Portal Document Export

You can export a patient document from the patient chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to the patient NextGen® PxP Portal account. You can export the patient document from the Encounter History or the Categories tab.
