Enabling NextGen Communication Services
You are required to turn on the ability to send and receive messages between your server and the NextGen Healthcare communications portal. To enable secure messaging, you must install NextGen® Communication Services application and enable Surescripts agents.
The installation of NextGen® Communication Services is performed by the NextGen Healthcare Support. You can contact your Implementation Specialist or NextGen Healthcare Customer to schedule the installation.
NextGen® Enterprise EHR 5.8 or higher requires NextGen® Communication Services 5.8. If you have an earlier version of NextGen® Communication Services, you must update it.
