Specify a Diagnosis Status

In the Billing ICD List tab, you can only change the status of a diagnosis to Resolved. After you Resolve a diagnosis, you cannot change it. You can, however, duplicate (Recur) the ICD code to create an exact copy of the diagnosis with a status of Unresolved. Select a patient. Select the patient's encounter that contains the problem to specify a status. Open Problems module. Select the Billing ICD List tab. Select the problem in the Billing ICD List data entry area. Note: If there is more than one instance of a Diagnosis/Billing ICD code, select the top level displayed for the Billing ICD code to resolve all of the listed instances or select a specific Onset Date of the diagnosis to resolve the particular instance. If you are resolving multiple instances of the same Billing ICD Code, a warning message appears. Select Yes. Do one of the following: Right-click and select Resolved from the context menu. Modify an ICD in the ICD Billing List

You can modify or update a diagnosis that is not assigned to a Locked Encounter. If a problem is assigned to a Locked Encounter, you cannot make any modifications except to enter a Resolved Date. Select the patient's encounter that contains the problem to modify. Open Problems module. Select the Billing ICD List tab. Select the diagnosis. Enter changes. Select Save. Open Billing ICD List

The Billing ICD List tab of the Problems module displays the details of the billing ICD codes of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. To open the Problems module, select Problems on the Quick Buttons panel.The Problems module opens displaying the Problem List tab by default. To open the billing ICD list, select the Billing ICD List tab. Billing ICD List Billing ICD List The billing ICD list displays all the resolved and unresolved billing ICD entries of a patient. Add an ICD to the ICD Billing List

The Add ICD option enables you to add a ICD code to the billing ICD list. Open Billing ICD List. On the Billing ICD List tab, select the Add ICD button. The Add Billing ICD window opens. All Diagnosis To search for a patient's diagnosis, do the following In the Search field, enter the diagnosis description in full or in part. Specify whether you want the Add Billing ICD window to search for ICD codes in the All Diagnoses list (default), the Patient's Diagnoses list, the Patient's Chronic Diagnoses list, a Favorites folder, or by Categories. Select Search. The application displays a list of search results. The most frequently assigned ICD code appears at the top of the list. Delete a Problem in the Problem List

Open the Problems Module. Select the patient's encounter that contains the problem you want to delete. Note: You can delete a problem from a patient's problem list if the problem is not assigned to a locked encounter. Select the problem in the problem list. Do one of the following: Right-click the problem, and then select Delete. On the problem list data entry area toolbar, select Delete. The Delete Problem message prompts you to confirm if you want to delete the problem. Select Yes to delete the problem. If the problem was not entered in error, clear the Entered in error check box. Select Refresh in the problem list toolbar to view the updated problem list. Note: All deleted problem list entries are displayed in the Deleted Items window. Billing ICD List

The billing ICD list displays all Resolved and Unresolved billing ICD entries for a patient's problems and the details entered for each billing ICD entry in tree-view format. You can expand or collapse a tree view using the relevant and buttons. You can also modify the data associated with each billing ICD entry. Billing ICD List Billing ICD List Toolbar The billing ICD list toolbar displays options that modify the list of billing ICD entries.
