Open Billing ICD List

The Billing ICD List tab of the Problems module displays the details of the billing ICD codes of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. To open the Problems module, select Problems on the Quick Buttons panel.The Problems module opens displaying the Problem List tab by default. To open the billing ICD list, select the Billing ICD List tab. Billing ICD List Billing ICD List The billing ICD list displays all the resolved and unresolved billing ICD entries of a patient. Specify a Diagnosis Status

In the Billing ICD List tab, you can only change the status of a diagnosis to Resolved. After you Resolve a diagnosis, you cannot change it. You can, however, duplicate (Recur) the ICD code to create an exact copy of the diagnosis with a status of Unresolved. Select a patient. Select the patient's encounter that contains the problem to specify a status. Open Problems module. Select the Billing ICD List tab. Select the problem in the Billing ICD List data entry area. Note: If there is more than one instance of a Diagnosis/Billing ICD code, select the top level displayed for the Billing ICD code to resolve all of the listed instances or select a specific Onset Date of the diagnosis to resolve the particular instance. If you are resolving multiple instances of the same Billing ICD Code, a warning message appears. Select Yes. Do one of the following: Right-click and select Resolved from the context menu. Add a Problem to the Billing ICD List

From the problem list, you can add a problem to the billing ICD list. Open the Problems Module. Select a problem from the problem list. Do one of the following: Right-click the problem, and then select Add to Billing ICD List. On the date entry grid tracking toolbar, select Add to Billing ICD List. The Billing ICD Search window opens. The application maps the problem SNOMED Concept ID code to the billing ICD code and displays the results in the Billing ICD List tab. Select Mapped ICD Code Note: The Billing ICD Search window displays synonym descriptions associated with an ICD code in the search results. If the selected problem has multiple billing ICD-10 codes, the application displays the list of mapped codes. Select which billing ICD-10 code to add to the billing ICD list for the current encounter. If the selected problem has only one billing ICD-10 code, that code is automatically added to the billing ICD list for the current encounter. Select the Preferences button to display a lis

Add Problems in the Problem List

You can add a problem to the problem list of a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Histories template. In the Problem List panel, select Add/Update. Enter a problem in the diagnosis search window, and select Search. Select the problem from the list of the search result, and select Select. Select the applicable ICD code, and select Select.The application automatically fills the associated values in the Fully Specified SNOMED Description, Problem Description, ICD Description, and ICD Code fields in the Problem List panel. Note: For all new problems, the Mark as Chronic checkbox is selected by default. In Clinical Status, select the status of the problem. In Onset Date, enter the date of onset. In Resolved Date, enter the date when the selected problem is resolved. If the problem is not chronic, to mark the problem as a secondary condition, select Secondary Condition.
