Add a Problem to the Billing ICD List

From the problem list, you can add a problem to the billing ICD list.
  1. Open the Problems Module.
  2. Select a problem from the problem list.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click the problem, and then select Add to Billing ICD List.
    • On the date entry grid tracking toolbar, select Add to Billing ICD List.
      The Billing ICD Search window opens. The application maps the problem SNOMED Concept ID code to the billing ICD code and displays the results in the Billing ICD List tab.
      Select Mapped ICD Code

      If the selected problem has multiple billing ICD-10 codes, the application displays the list of mapped codes.

  4. Select which billing ICD-10 code to add to the billing ICD list for the current encounter.
    If the selected problem has only one billing ICD-10 code, that code is automatically added to the billing ICD list for the current encounter.
  5. Select the Preferences button to display a list of choices for this window.

  6. If the problem you selected to add to the Billing ICD List does not have a code mapped to the ICD list, the application displays an application message to notify you.
  7. If you receive the application message, update the mapping data in the database.
