Billing ICD List Data Entry Fields

The billing ICD list data entry fields provide all the buttons, lists, check boxes, and data fields to add and modify billing ICD entries for patient problems. The billing ICD list data entry fields are located in the bottom portion of the billing ICD list data entry area. Check Medication-Specific Interactions for a Problem

You can check if there are drug interactions between the prescribed medications in the Medications module using the Billing ICD entry in the Billing ICD List Display Area. Select a Billing ICD entry in the Billing ICD List data entry area. Select Check Interactions. If there are no interactions, the application displays nothing and maintains the Billing ICD List display. If there are interactions, the application displays the Drug Interaction window. Drug Interaction Note: You cannot acknowledge (and enter a reason for acknowledging) the drug interaction information displayed through the Billing ICD List tab. This information is for notification only. You can only acknowledge a Drug Interaction through the Medications module and only if the diagnosis is assigned before the medication is prescribed. If you assign the medication first and then assign the problem, you are not able to acknowledge (and enter a reason for acknowledging) the drug interaction. You can, however, select Done to

Billing ICD List Data Entry Area

The billing ICD list data entry area displays the options to add, modify, track, and resolve the billing ICD information for patient problems. The billing ICD list data entry area has two sections, the data entry area toolbar and the data entry fields, and occupies the bottom half of the Billing ICD List tab. Delete a Billing ICD Entry From the Billing ICD List

You can delete an entry from the Billing ICD List. Open Billing ICD List. Select a billing ICD entry in the billing ICD list. Select Delete. A message appears asking you to confirm deleting the problem. If the problem was not entered in error, clear the Entered in error check box. To delete the problem, select Yes. Note: All deleted billing ICD entries are displayed in the Deleted Items window. To open the Deleted Items window, on the billing ICD list toolbar select Deleted Items. Mark a Billing ICD Entry as Resolved

You can set a Billing ICD Entry as Resolved to move it to the Resolved side of the display area. Select a Billing ICD entry in the ICD Billing List data entry area. Select Resolve. Select the Accept button. The application marks the Billing ICD entry as Resolved, enters the date the problem was resolved, and moves the problem to the Resolved area of the display area. Mark a Billing ICD Entry as Chronic

You can mark a Billing ICD entry of a recurring problem to chronic. Select a Billing ICD entry in the ICD Billing List data entry area. Select Set Chronic. The application sets the selected Billing ICD entry as chronic and disables the Set Chronic button. Note: The Set Chronic button is only active if a selected problem is not already set to chronic.
