Billing ICD List Data Entry Area Toolbar

The billing ICD list data entry area toolbar is located above the data entry area, below the display area. Add ICD The billing ICD list data entry area toolbar provides the following features: Add ICD Recur Resolve Set Chronic Delete Check Interactions Resources Sent to Problem List Reconcile Working with ICD Codes Add Billing ICD Codes in the patient chart for corresponding patient problems. Create a Copy of an Existing Billing ICD Entry Create a recurring copy of the Billing ICD entry from the Billing ICD List display area. Mark a Billing ICD Entry as Resolved Mark Billing ICD Entries as resolved to move them to the Resolved side of the display area. Add an ICD to the ICD Billing List

The Add ICD option enables you to add a ICD code to the billing ICD list. Open Billing ICD List. On the Billing ICD List tab, select the Add ICD button. The Add Billing ICD window opens. All Diagnosis To search for a patient's diagnosis, do the following In the Search field, enter the diagnosis description in full or in part. Specify whether you want the Add Billing ICD window to search for ICD codes in the All Diagnoses list (default), the Patient's Diagnoses list, the Patient's Chronic Diagnoses list, a Favorites folder, or by Categories. Select Search. The application displays a list of search results. The most frequently assigned ICD code appears at the top of the list. Search results To add a search result to a favorite's list, right-click the search result and select Add to Favorite Group. Drug to Drug Interaction

A new medication prescribed to a patient can have a negative interaction with another medication that has been previously prescribed to the patient. If such interaction occurs the Drug Interaction window opens. The window specifies the particular medication that caused the interaction, and information about each prescribed medication that causes the interaction. The Reference at the bottom of the window displays the citation for the DUR information. You must acknowledge all drug interactions and select a reason for overriding the warning before you can add the medication. The medication interaction process displays drug interactions according to the display levels set for the system and a specific user. The medication interaction process does not perform checks on user-defined medications. If the Enterprise option to check for interactions across practices is enabled, the medication interaction process checks for possible interactions across all practices. Medication Duplication

A medication prescribed to a patient could be already prescribed to the patient. If such instance occurs the Drug Interaction window opens. The window lists the duplicate medication. You must acknowledge all drug interactions and select a reason for overriding the warning before you can add the medication. The medication interaction process displays drug interactions according to the display levels set for the system and a specific user. The medication interaction process does not perform checks on user-defined medications. If the Enterprise option to check for interactions across practices is enabled, the medication interaction process checks for possible interactions across all practices. If you cancel out of the Drug Interaction window, your action is audited and you must enter a reason. The Drug Interaction window lists the medication that caused the interaction, and information for each listed patient medication allergy. The Reference at the bottom of the window displays the citation for the DUR information. You must acknowledge all notices listed in the Drug Interaction window and specify the reason for overriding the warning.
