The billing ICD list data entry area toolbar is located above the data entry area, below the display area. You can use the Patient Education Browser window to search for patient education resources. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > Patient Education. The Patient Education Browser window opens. The Patient Education grid in the Today's Orders panel displays the patient education documents that are added to a patient encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Access Internal Patient Education from the Procedures Module

You can use the Resources feature to access internal and external patient education resources in the Procedures module. Internal patient education resources link directly to your Healthwise Patient Education, while there are a number of external resources also available. Education material relate directly to the procedure using the context-sensitive search for the ICD code associated with the procedure. Using the Billing ICD List tab of the Problems module, you can perform context-sensitive search for patient education material with the ICD code reference. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient record. Access a procedure in the patient chart. Right-click the procedure and select Resources. Select Internal Patient Education. The Patient Education Browser window appears with the Search Criteria populated by the ICD code. The age and gender of the patient filter is also updated. Parent topic: Healthwise Patient Education

Set Up Patient Educational Resources

You can set up patient educational resources such as website addresses and PDF documents on the Card Setup Patient Education template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open System \ Practice Template. On the Practice tab, double-click Card Setup Patient Education. Enter the category, document description, item type, and name or location. Click Add.
