Attach a File System or Patient Chart Image

The Finding Images enables you to attach an image to each finding made. You can attach an image file saved to your file system or the patient's chart for the current encounter. You can annotate and save images to the patient's chart using the Image module. After you attach a patient chart image, the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) displays the latest saved annotations made to it. If the patient chart image is signed off in the PAQ, the signature is not affected by attaching the image to a finding. Import a Web Camera or Video Device Image

You can capture and attach an image from a web camera or video device to a finding and save it to the patient's chart. From the Findings Grid, select the finding row that you want to capture an image for. Select the Acquire Image button at the top right of the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component window. The Camera Capture window opens. The system attempts to find connected cameras. If a connection is made, the current real-time image appears. If no camera is present, a blank window appears. If you have multiple cameras, select the applicable one from the Device list. If a device settings window opens, review the settings, and adjust them, as needed. To capture the image, select Camera. The device streams video to the window. To freeze the video stream, select Snapshot. Select OK to capture the currently displayed image. Attach Images to a Finding

Each finding can have one image attached to it. After an image is attached, you can attach a different image to the finding. The previous image remains in the patient's chart. You can attach images to findings in the following ways: Attach an image file stored on your file system or saved to the patient's chart for the current encounter. Attach a photo stored on your file system. Import a web camera or video device image. Each attached image has a unique name. If you attach an image from your file system or a web cam/video device, the GET names it as finding name - region description. If you attach an image that has the same name (description) as another image attached to a different finding, the name is followed by a number in parentheses. Add Additional Images to a Finding

You can attach a different image to the finding. Each attached image has a unique name. If you attach an image that was saved to the patient's chart, its name is retained, but you can assign another name. If you attach an image from your file system or a web cam/video device, the GET names it as finding name - location, for example: Polyp - Ascending Colon. If you attach an image that has the same name (description) as another image attached to a different finding, the name is followed by a number in parentheses. For example: Polyp - Ascending Colon, Polyp - Ascending Colon (2), and Polyp - Ascending Colon (3). In GET, click the Options and Settings Popup Menu button and select Finding Images from the menu. Findings The Finding Images window opens. Finding Images From the VIEW list, select one of the following: Patient's Chart The available images in the chart appear in the left pane of the Finding Images window. Associate Multiple Images from the Findings Data Grid

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. A new row is added in the Findings Data Grid with the findings details. Right-click the findings in the Findings Data Grid, and select Attach Image. The Select Image window opens. Select the image and select Open. The image is added to the Photo section with the following format: Finding Name-Region Description( x. x). You can add multiple images to the Photo section. In the Photo section, you can perform the following: Select the Original icon to view and zoom the image. Select the Manage Images icon to move images up, down, and delete. Select the Close icon to close the image. On the NextGen® Enterprise EHR toolbar, select Save. Select an existing encounter or create a encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select the Options and Settings Popup Menu icon and select Finding Images. The Finding Images window opens. From the IMAGES pane, drag an image to a FINDING and repeat as needed. As images are added to the Finding, the image count displays as 1 of x, 2 of x, and so on (where x is the total number of images). The format for the description is as follows: Finding Name - Region Description( x. y) where x represents the sequential number of multiple images sets and y represents the image number in the set.
