Attach a Photo

Attaching a File System or Patient Chart Image is another way to attach an image stored on your file system to a finding. Right-click the finding row in the Findings Grid, and select Attach Image. The Select Image window opens. Locate the image and select Open to display it in the PHOTO pane at the lower left corner of the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component window. The image is attached to the finding in the patient's chart when you save the annotated image. It is labeled with the Finding Name - Region Description. Note: If you delete an annotation in either the Findings Grid or on the active image, the photo attached to that annotation is no longer displayed. Integrate a Document Macro to Filter Finding Images

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter and open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. In the REASON FOR VISIT pane, select the Menu icon, and then select Manage Reasons for Visit. The Reasons for Visit window opens. From the list at the bottom of the window, select the reason and select Add. From the IMAGES panes, select the Images check box, select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. A new row is added in the Findings Data Grid with the findings details. An icon appears in the Findings Data Grid row denoting that multiple images are attached to the finding. On the NextGen® Enterprise EHR toolbar, select Save. All the images saved to the patient's chart are renamed to the image description that is Finding Name-Region Description( x. x). Attach a File System or Patient Chart Image

The Finding Images enables you to attach an image to each finding made. You can attach an image file saved to your file system or the patient's chart for the current encounter. You can annotate and save images to the patient's chart using the Image module. After you attach a patient chart image, the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) displays the latest saved annotations made to it. If the patient chart image is signed off in the PAQ, the signature is not affected by attaching the image to a finding. Update Existing Descriptions

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) allows you to update existing descriptions of patient images with the finding name and region description when they get attached to findings. The image description for each finding is unique. The finding with the same name and region is updated as Finding Name - Region Description(x) , where x increases the image description starting from 2. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Encounter History or Categories tab, select any image. The image opens. On the main toolbar, select Save. The Save Image File window opens. Attach Images to a Finding

Each finding can have one image attached to it. After an image is attached, you can attach a different image to the finding. The previous image remains in the patient's chart. You can attach images to findings in the following ways: Attach an image file stored on your file system or saved to the patient's chart for the current encounter. Attach a photo stored on your file system. Import a web camera or video device image. Each attached image has a unique name. If you attach an image from your file system or a web cam/video device, the GET names it as finding name - region description. If you attach an image that has the same name (description) as another image attached to a different finding, the name is followed by a number in parentheses. For example: Basal Cell Skin Cancer, Basal Cell Skin Cancer (2), and Basal Cell Skin Cancer (3). Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Top Toolbar, select the Images module and add images to the patients chart. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select the Options and Settings Popup Menu icon and then select Show Findings Images. From the IMAGE pane, select the Images check box, select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. The selected images no longer appear on the IMAGES pane.
