You can add topics to the shopping cart so that you can print them, save them to the patient encounter, or send them to NextGen® PxP Portal.
Open a patient and create a new encounter or select an unlocked one.
Open Patient Education Browser.
Do one of the following:
Browse for a topic and select it.
Find a topic with Recommended Search.
Find a topic by entering search criteria find a topic by entering search criteria.
In the Search Results, highlight the document name.
The patient education topic appears in the preview pane.
Select Add to Cart.
The documents are added to the Selected Documents (shopping cart) section. If the document comes from an external resource, the website name is added to the Title column and the term External appears in the Source column.
Note: If you select the check box for one or more documents, the documents are added to the Selected Documents section automatically.
You can select additional topics in the search results to add to the Selected Documents list, if required.
