Copy Order Tests in File Maintenance

You can copy an existing test and add it to the list of tests for another test entity. To copy an order test, select Master Files > System > Order Tests. Select to focus the search on Order Test Key and enter the name of an existing test. Select to highlight the desired test. Right-click and select Copy. The Copy Master File window opens. Select the drop-down arrow on the Please Select a System field. Select to select a testing entity. Select in the Please enter the Lab Key field and enter a test order name. You can manually add or modify tests and their appropriate codes in the Order Test master file. Because you must have a test to associate a component with, you must create this file first. Order Test Favorites

The Orders module allows you to create both lab and radiology test order favorites in File Maintenance. Select File Maintenance > Master Files > System > Order Test Favorites. Select New. The Add Order Test Favorites or Modify Order Test Favorites window opens. Select the test entity System or select the NextGen Compendium Favorite. Select whether the Order Type is lab or radiology. Give the Test Favorites group a name by entering text in the Description field. Select the Folder icon. Use the Available orders test list to select which tests need to be added to this lab test favorites set. After the test is selected, select the arrow to move them into the Included list for this test favorites group. After all tests in your favorites group have been selected, select OK to close the selection window. Select OK to save the new Test Favorites group. Note: If you try and create a test favorites group with the same name as an existing group, it issues a message and does not allow you to save

Manage Radiology Tests

The tests in the Manage Radiology Tests grid on the Radiology Configuration practice template create a list of tests that corresponds to the Standard option above the Radiology Tests grid on the Radiology Order template and the Radiology panel of the Single Order template. The Manage Radiology Tests grid is packaged with an extensive list of radiology codes but they do not appear until you select a value in one of the filter fields above the grid. You can use the Manage Radiology Tests grid to manage and customize the codes to meet your practice's needs. The Manage Radiology Tests panel enables you to do the following: Assign a category and body part to a test Attach picklists to a radiology test Assign a bilateral code and picklist to a radiology test Indicate the laterality for a code The Category and Body Part fields use picklists from the Radiology Picklists panel. Create Radiology Test Favorites

You can define a group of favorites for Radiology tests. You select the testing entity System, set the Order Type to Radiology and give the Test Favorites group a description. To create a radiology test favorites group: Select File Maintenance > Master Files > System > Order Test Favorites. Select New. The Add Order Test Favorites or Modify Order Test Favorites window opens. Select the test entity System or select the NextGen Compendium Favorite check box. Select the Order Type as radiology. Give the Test Favorites group a name by entering text in the Description field. After Test Favorites group is named, select the folder button and use the test list to select tests for this radiology favorites group. Select OK to save the radiology favorites group as you did when creating a lab test favorites group. Edit Radiology Test Configuration

The Manage Radiology Tests grid on the Radiology Configuration practice template does not display any data until you select a value in the filter fields above the grid. The Category and Body Part fields use picklists from the Radiology Picklists panel. Note: Use the fields below the grid to edit the selected radiology test. The fields below the grid are referred to by the corresponding column name. Select an option for Sort Tests By: Body Part or Description. Note: This sort option also determines how the Radiology Tests grid on the Radiology Order template and the Radiology panel of the Single Order template is sorted.
