Send Documents and Images to NextGen® PxP Portal

Before you begin You must do the following: Complete enrollment in NextGen® PxP Portal. Add the NextGen® Document Management image to a patient's chart. Set up image rights in System Administrator. Configure document types and sending annotations with images in File Maintenance. In NextGen® Document Management, you can send documents and images to NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: You cannot send documents larger than 15 MB. However, you can set the size limit for sending documents to NextGen® PxP Portal in System Administrator. For more information on System Administrator, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for the documents or images. The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results. Export a Graph to NextGen® PxP Portal

You can add a note or comment and export a graph to NextGen® PxP Portal accounts as .pdf document files. CAUTION: The size of the graph must not exceed 15 MB. In System Administrator, you can set the size limit for documents that are sent to NextGen® PxP Portal. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the patient information bar, select Patient . The Patient Lookup window opens. Select a patient who is enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. A list of the patient's encounters appear on the Encounter History tab. On the Encounter History tab, locate the graph to export. Sensitive encounters are identified by a sensitive encounter icon appears on the beside the encounter. Select the button. Select the item to export, and select the button. Before you begin To send the NextGen® Document Management images to NextGen® PxP Portal, ensure that the Rights > Operations > Imaging > Send Doc Mgmt Image to Patient Portal in System Administrator must be set to True and the necessary access rights must be enabled. If the right is set to No, the Send to Patient Portal option appears disabled for the selected image. You must also select the Patient Portal Accessible check box for the document type in File Maintenance. You can export documents, images, or SAP® Crystal Reports® objects from NextGen® Enterprise EHR to NextGen® PxP Portal for patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. For documents and images, you can view image properties, rename images, adjust the viewer size, change their size, and rotate them. Note: The size of the open document is based on the configurations selected in the User Preferences window. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for the documents or images. The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results. Send Annotations with Images to NextGen Patient Portal

You can send annotations attached with an image while sending that image to a patient's account in NextGen® PxP Portal. To send annotations with the image, you must configure the setting at the practice level in File Maintenance. In File Maintenance, access Master Files > System or PM or Document Management > Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click the appropriate practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select the Preferences button. The Practice Preferences window opens. In the Preferences List, select Imaging. In the Patient Portal Options section, select the Send Annotations With Image check box. Select OK. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select OK. The Practice List window opens.
