Resolve Disclaimer Printing Issues

If the disclaimer on your printed image is trimmed from the edges, you may have to recalibrate the printer. The printer may have its own mechanism and procedure to do the necessary calibration. If printer recalibration does not solve the disclaimer printing issue, you can perform soft calibration to resolve the issue. Note: Make sure that the correct size paper is used to print the documents. For example, when you print an image, suppose you select the paper size as Letter but instead use the A4 size paper. The printer clips the disclaimer at the edges because an A4 size sheet of paper is smaller than a Letter size sheet. From the NextGen installation folder, open the NGConfig.ini file. The Printing user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on the various types of documents that can be printed in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: Settings made in Practice Preferences > Printing apply to all users in the practice. Settings made in your General User Preferences > Printing override the practice-level settings. For documents and images, you can view image properties, rename images, adjust the viewer size, change their size, and rotate them. Note: The size of the open document is based on the configurations selected in the User Preferences window. Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Search, and then search for the documents or images. The Matching Records grid displays the list of patients who are associated with images that match your search results. Double-click a patient record to open its associated images in the Search Results For: window, and then double-click the image you want to view. The NextGen® Document Management viewer displays the image. To view multiple documents and images at a time, on the NextGen® Document Management menu, select Window, and then select Tile Horizontally, Tile Vertically, or Cascade. Printing Practice Preferences

The Printing Practice Preferences enables you to set printing defaults for documents that are used in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can store printer settings at the practice level for NextGen documents and reports and for user-configured documents such as labels and forms. The settings include orientation, printer source, paper size, and number of copies. Each document type can have its own default printer setting. Instead of the users manually changing the print settings each time they print a different item, the default print settings are used for each document type being printed. Printer settings can also be set at the user level. The defaults set at the user level override the defaults at the practice level. If a user does not have user-level printer settings, the practice-level settings apply when the user prints a document. Note: Users can still change the settings at the time of printing.
