Set Up Default General Preferences - Printing Tab

The Printing user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on the various types of documents that can be printed in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: Settings made in Practice Preferences > Printing apply to all users in the practice. Settings made in your General User Preferences > Printing override the practice-level settings. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file. The Default User Preferences - General window opens. Select the Printing tab. In the Fee Tickets section, do the following: To preview before printing fee tickets, select the Print preview check box. To view the Print Fee Tickets window before printing, where you can change your default printer settings or select an alternate fee ticket body, select the Prompt for options dialog check box. Configuring General User Preferences

You can configure General User Preferences to control how specific functions and tasks work for you in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Some settings are strictly for display purposes, while others affect the application behavior. In File Maintenance, general preferences can be defined in the Default User Prefs - General master file, and then assigned to groups of users or individual users in System Administrator. File Menu

The File menu enables you to set up the printer, print forms such as statements and invoices, and print a picture of the NextGen® Enterprise PM window as it currently displays on your monitor. You can manually update and open the Image Explorer tool to import your practice logo and templates. The File menu also enables you to log off or exit NextGen® Enterprise PM. File Menu Items Function Printer Settings Opens the Print window where you can select a default printer name, print the range and number of copies. Properties selects layout and paper quality settings. Print Forms You can view and print blank fee tickets, budget statements, claims, invoices, letters, patient datasheets, batch statements, and blank forms. Print Fee Tickets from Appointment Lookup

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select the Appointments button or select Tasks > Lookup > Appointments The Appointment Lookup window appears. Enter the details in Search Criteria section as needed to locate the desired patient appointments, and then select Find. All appointments that match the search criteria entered appears in the Appointment List section. From the Appointment List, select the desired appointments to print the corresponding fee tickets. Right-click and select Print > Fee Ticket. If a fee ticket is already printed before for one or more of the selected appointments, an application message appears asking for confirmation to reprint the appointment's fee ticket. Select one of the following buttons: Select Yes All to reprint a fee ticket for the patient appointment displayed and for all other appointments in the list that had a previously printed fee ticket without being prompted again. Configure NextGen® Document Management Enterprise Preferences

Open NextGen® Document Management. On the toolbar, select Admin > Preferences > Enterprise. The Doc Mgmt tab opens in the Enterprise Preferences window. In Maximum Search Results, enter the maximum number of images, ranging from 100 to 3000, to display during a search. To display the chart-level alerts in the viewer when you access a patient image, select the Enable chart level alerts checkbox. To display the search results in categories when you search for images in NextGen® Document Management, select the Use Categories in Search Results checkbox. Note: When NextGen® Document Management displays categories in the search results, you can select only individual documents for printing or exporting from the search results list. You must open the documents in the viewer to print or export them. To prevent the creation of excessively large images, in Maximum Scanner DPI, set a maximum dots-per-inch (DPI) value.
