Memorized Reports Job

The Memorized Reports job type runs the memorized reports for either NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Enterprise PM.

Configure the following fields:

FieldDescription
Memorized Report NameIndicates the Report Type and the Description as specified in the Memorized Reports window.
Your selection indicates the memorized report that the job runs. The job runs the report for the practices set up in the report itself.
Printer NameIf you indicated that you want the memorized report printed, select the printer to which you want the job to send the report. You can also apply the following settings to the printer:
  • Orientation
  • Tray
  • Size
  • Number of copies
Export FormatIf you indicated that you want the job to generate an output file of the memorized report, select the format that you want to generate the output. This field indicates one of the following:
  • ASCII
  • Excel
  • HTML
Export File NameIf you indicated that you want the job to generate an output file of the memorized report, enter the file name you want the job to use for the file it generates.

You can include a date part or counter token in the file name. Tokens are variables that the application replaces with the current date and time or an incremental counter value.

Export Overwrite OptionIf you indicated that you want the report exported, indicate one of the following:
  • Use the specified file name (and overwrite the file if it exists)
  • Add a time stamp to the file name (filename_yyyymmddhhmmss.ext)
Email Export File ToIf you indicated that you want the report exported, you can set NextGen® Background Business Processor to send a copy of the report to recipients. Enter the email addresses for the recipients you want to receive the file. Separate each email address by a comma.
Save SnapshotIndicates whether you want the application to take a snapshot of the report.
Snapshot NameEnter the name that you want the application to give the report snapshot.
FormsSelect the form to generate multiple forms for different patients whose names are available in the memorized reports.
Select the ellipsis button takes you to the Form Template Lookup window where you can set either of the following:
  • Forms
  • Form Enhanced ( Show hidden forms--the placement in the File maintenance window is changed)
Forms Printer NameIf you indicated that you want the memorized report printed, select the printer to which you want the job to send the report. You can also apply the following settings to the printer:
  • Orientation
  • Tray
  • Size
  • Number of copies
LabelsIndicates the label associated with practice.
Labels Printer NameIf you indicated that you want the memorized report printed, select the printer to which you want the job to send the report. You can also apply the following settings to the printer:
  • Orientation
  • Tray
  • Size
  • Number of copies
LettersLetters help you decide on which report to add to which type of letter. The Letters list consists of three letters types, that are:
  • Appointment Reminder
  • Demand Account
  • Demand Encounter
Under the Appointment Reminder letter type, the following reports can be memorized:
  • Appointment Listing
  • Kept Appointments w/No Charges
Under the Demand Account letter type, the following reports can be memorized:
  • Patient Insurance
  • All Aging Analysis
  • Billed Encounter
  • Contractual Analysis
  • All Receivable Analysis
  • Unbilled Encounters
  • All but Account Summary
  • Only Unduplicated Patients
  • By Line Items
  • By Transaction
  • By Encounter
  • Charges
  • Charges by Current User
  • Encounters
Under Demand Encounter letter type, the following reports can be memorized:
  • Statements
  • All Budget Letter Analysis
  • Budget Plans
  • Account Summary
Letters ActionIndicates whether you want to print or export the letters.
Upload Export File To NextGenEDI?Indicates whether you want the memorized reports to be uploaded to NextGen® EDI.
Task TypeYou can indicate the task type for the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report job processes.
  • If you selected an NextGen® Enterprise EHR memorized report in the Memorized Report Name field and then select a task type “Chart” in the Task Type field, NextGen® Background Business Processor creates an EPM Chart type task for each patient that is listed on the NextGen® Enterprise EHR report.
  • If you selected an NextGen® Enterprise EHR memorized report in the Memorized Report Name field and then select a task type “EHR Task” in the Task Type field, NextGen® Background Business Processor creates an NextGen® Enterprise EHR Task type task for each patient that is listed on the NextGen® Enterprise EHR report.
  • If you selected an NextGen® Enterprise PM memorized report in the Memorized Report Name field, The EHR Task option is not available in the Task Type field.
Task StatusYou can set the task status for the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report job processes. The available status settings are:
  • Completed
  • In Progress
  • Not Started
Task PriorityYou can set the task priority for the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report job processes. The available priority settings are:
  • High
  • Low
  • Normal

You must select a Task Priority for the in order for tasks to be generated.

Task Assigned to UsersYou can indicate the users to whom the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report job processes.
Task Assigned to WorkgroupsYou can indicate the workgroups to which the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report job processes.
Task SubjectYou can enter the subject for the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report job processes.
Task DetailsYou can enter details that apply to the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report job processes.
Task Start DateYou can specify the start date for the task that NextGen® Background Business Processor automatically creates when the memorized report is generated.
To specify the start date, select the ellipsis button and configure the start setting on the Indicate Date window.

Job runtime alert setting (minutes)Select the length of time that must pass before the application issues a runtime alert.
Job runtime alert emailEnter the email address to which you want the application to send the runtime alert.
