Viewing the Associated Requests and /or Summary of Care Documents Received Details

You can view the Summary of Care document details in the Associated Requests and/or Summary of Care Documents Received grid.

The Associated Requests and/or Summary of Care Documents Received grid determines which of the following two check boxes get automatically selected based on the details available in the grid.

The Summary of Care document requested or queried check box is selected automatically when:

  • The patient has at least one Summary of Care request or query within the last 18 months of the encounter.
  • You add a Summary of Care received details and its associated document with a Summary of Care request.

You can also manually select or clear the Summary of Care document requested or queried check box when:

  • A request for Summary of Care document is made outside the NextGen Healthcare system.
  • There are no Summary of Care requests added to the Associated Requests and/or Summary of Care Documents Received grid.

When you manually select the Summary of Care document requested or queried check box, the Transitioning Into Care template check box is selected automatically.

You cannot manually clear the check box unless all the requests or documents with the associated requests are cleared in the Associated Requests and/or Summary of Care Documents Received grid. If you try to clear the check box manually without clearing all the details, an alert appears stating that all requests must be removed in the Associated Requests and/or Summary of Care Documents Received grid before clearing the Summary of Care documents received or queried check box.

The Summary of Care document received electronically check box is automatically selected when the patient has at least one Summary of Care document received electronically within the last 18 months of the encounter. The check box displays as read-only after the automatic selection.
