View and Add Summary of Care Requests and Documents

The Received/Requested Summary of Care section includes the following two options:
  • Summary of Care Received
  • Summary of Care Requests
An [*] asterisk next to either the Summary of Care Received or Summary of Care Requests fields indicates the current option being reviewed in the grid.

The Summary of Care requests grid contains the last 18 months of Summary of Care requests associated with the patient's Summary of Care documents. The Summary of Care Requests section provides you the flexibility to select a single request and associate a single, multiple, or all documents with the Associated Requests and/or Summary of Care Documents Received grid.

The Summary of Care documents grid contains the last 18 months of Summary of Care documents imported from a third-party, Health Information Exchange (HIE) and are a part of the patient’s chart. The documents may include an original request from the provider or clinical staff. The documents may also be imported through HIE without a request.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. On the Intake or SOAP template, expand General.
  3. Select the Transitioning Into Care link.
    The Transitioning Into Care template opens.
  4. Select the Summary of Care Requests option.

  5. In the Summary of Care requests grid, select the summary of care request.
  6. In the Summary of Care documents grid, select the associated summary of care documents.
  7. To add a single or multiple documents to the Associated Requests and/or Summary of Care Documents Received grid, select the Add Selected button.
  8. To add all the documents, select the Add All button.
