View Pediatric Growth Charts

You can view the pediatric growth chart based on the age and measurements of the patient. The standard growth chart measures BMI, weight, height, and head circumference. Before you begin Before you generate a growth chart, you must set up the appropriate graphing preferences. Review and Update Pediatric Vital Signs

If you need to update a vital sign of a patient, ensure that you are editing the desired record, as vital signs can be entered multiple times during the encounter. Open the SOAP template. In the Vital Signs panel, select a record in the grid and click Edit. For patients who are two years or younger, the Pediatric Under 2 Years Vital Signs template opens. For patients who are older than two years, the Pediatric Over 2 Years Vital Signs template opens with the values filled in the respective fields. Edit the corresponding vital sign. Click Save, and then Close. View Pediatric Growth Charts You can view the pediatric growth chart based on the age and measurements of the patient. The standard growth chart measures BMI, weight, height, and head circumference. View Pediatric Bone Age History You can view the patient's growth charts individually on the Vs Charts Peds template. Growth Chart Measurements

You can document measurements using the age-based Vital Signs templates for pediatric patients (vital_signs_peds_over2y and vital_signs_peds_under2y). You can access these templates in the following ways: From the Record Vital Signs template (VS_WA_Std). From different specialty Home and Office Visit templates. Directly from the Intake and SOAP tab templates of the Advanced template set and the Foundation template set. Note: You can customize settings for alerts for out-of-range pediatrics vital signs values using the ngkbm_vital_signs practice template. Premature growth charts are generated when the Gestational age at birth field has a value of less than 37 weeks and a gestational age of up to 50 weeks. You can enter the gestational age on the Pediatric Under 2 Years Vital Signs template or the Pregnancy/Birth History template. The best practice is to add the gestational age in the Pregnancy/Birth History template prior to documenting the vital signs of the baby. The Pediatric Under 2

Add Bone Age Study and Results

You can document the bone age results on the Peds Bone Age Details template. The Peds Bone Age Details template is used to document the bone age test result details on the Office Services template. To open the Diagnostic History Entry template and document the bone age study details, do one of the following: On the Histories template, expand the Diagnostic Studies section and click Add. In the History Summary panel on the Intake template, click Diagnostic and click Add/Edit. Diagnostic History Entry In the Study Type section, click the Diagnostic study type field and select X-Ray Upper extremity study type from the list. In the Study Performed section, click the Diagnostic study field and select X-RAYS FOR BONE AGE with the procedure code of 77072 from the list. If the study was completed somewhere else, select the Ordered elsewhere check box. To enter Side and Site information, click in the fields to select the applicable values. Vital Signs

You can add, edit or remove vital signs for a patient using the Vital Signs panel. In the Vital Signs panel you can view vital signs documented during this encounter. You can edit ot remove previously entered vital signs and enter new vital signs. The Vital Signs panel is also available on other office visit templates. The Historical information entered this encounter link opens the Vital Signs History template filtered to display only vital signs documented with patient's encounter. Using the History link, you can review the patient’s entire vital signs history on the Vital Signs History template. Using the Graphs link, you can view vital signs in graphical format on the age-appropriate VS Charts template. Vital Signs The vital signs templates are based on age. The age-appropriate template opens depending on whether the patient is less than two years old, equal to or greater than two years old, or an adult. Review of Vital Signs on SOAP

You can review and update a patient's vitals signs documented by the intake staff, in the Vital Signs panel on the SOAP template. You can add multiple vital signs for a patient during an encounter. The Vital Signs panel displays the most recent value for each vital sign. Vital Signs The Add button opens the age specific vital signs template based on the patient age and the Pediatric Age configuration on the Practice Configuration template.
