Restore a Guideline Item

You can restore a care guideline item for a patient using the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. You can restore a care guideline or guideline item removed previously, so that it can be followed for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Activate Guidelines panel, select the Conditionfrom the list. Select Add to activate it again. This re-applies the guideline. Select Save & Close. Note: When you re-apply a guideline, the application goes through all of the existing items that are active, and only re-applies the one that is missing from the set for the condition. Edit the Care Guidelines History

You can review or update the care guidelines history using the Care Guidelines History template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Care Guidelines template or the Activate Care Guidelines template, select the Care Guidelines History link. The Care Guidelines History template opens. To filter tests and exams listed in the grid by status, select Filter by status and select a status from the list. To edit a guideline item, select a row item and select Edit to open the Care Guideline Update template. If you have selected a status or date by mistake, you can clear the values for Last completed date. The guideline item reverts to being due, the Last addressed is cleared, and the Next Due date recalculates. Update the required field and select Save & Close. Note: If the selected guideline record does not belong to the latest encounter, the Edit and Save & Close buttons are read-only. Correct Patient Records with Corrected Guidelines

Your can correct the patient records with corrected guidelines exceeding the limit to determine the exceed length of the description. After you have corrected the guidelines with name or description text exceeding 75 characters, patients for whom those guidelines applied should be updated so that the corrected guideline is applied. The Guidelines exceeding limits report, lists the patient record that needs correction in the Guideline items exceeding more than 75 characters section. You can correct patient records on the Active Care Guidelines template, which can be accessed using the Care Guidelines templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the practice for which guideline data needs to be corrected. (Refer to the previously generated Guidelines exceeding limits report for a list of affected data for specific practices to determine the practice to select.) Open the required patient chart. Remove an Entire Guideline by Condition

You can remove an entire care guideline by condition for a patient in the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. You can remove an entire guideline by condition using the Condition/Reason list grid in the left side of the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. This functionality enables you to remove an activated guideline added by mistake for a wrong patient. Note: You can only remove a guideline during the same encounter in which it was activated. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. Expand the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. Select a condition listed in the left side Condition/Reason grid. Remove/Restore Guidelines Select Remove. Filter Selected Guidelines in the Active Guidelines Grid

You can filter selected active care guidelines of a patient in the Active Guidelines panel. There are several ways to filter and display only selected guidelines in the Active Guidelines panel grid. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Active Guidelines panel, to display only items due within a specific time period, select the Due within check box and then select the number of days, weeks, or months from the Show only items due within window. Activate Guidelines To display items for a selected guideline: Select the Display only selected guideline check box. Select the Condition from the list. Note: The grid do not display any items of a selected guideline that has not been activated for the patient. Reset Patient-Level Care Guidelines Content

You can reset a patient's care guidelines using the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, Select System/Practice Templates. The Select Template window opens. From the Practice tab, select All. A list of practice-level templates opens. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK. The Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template opens. To remove the care guidelines, expand the Reset Patient Care Guidelines panel, and then do one the following: Select the Permanently remove old pre-Care Guidelines Protocols records check box. If required, select the Include ALL practices check box. Select the Permanently remove all patient Immunization guideline records check box. If required, select the Include ALL practices check box.
