Reset Patient-Level Care Guidelines Content
You can reset a patient's care guidelines using the Care Guidelines Clear and Restore template.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- From the File menu, Select System/Practice Templates.
The Select Template window opens.
- From the Practice tab, select All.
A list of practice-level templates opens.
- Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK.
The Care Guidelines Clear and Restore practice template opens.
- To remove the care guidelines, expand the Reset Patient Care Guidelines panel, and then do one the following:
- Select the Permanently remove old pre-Care Guidelines Protocols records check box.
- If required, select the Include ALL practices check box.
- Select the Permanently remove all patient Immunization guideline records check box.
- If required, select the Include ALL practices check box.
- Select the Clear All Patient Care Guidelines for this practice check box.
The corresponding Accept button is available. - Select the Permanently remove old pre-Care Guidelines Protocols records check box.
- Select Accept for the required option.
A confirmation message appears.
- To continue, select Yes.
The present date, time, and your name appears in the read-only fields.
- For practices with the enterprise chart feature turned on for patients with activated guidelines: Additional details appear to remind you that the enterprise chart allows patient's critical data to display across all practices. Therefore, you must be careful when using the reset patient care guidelines tool since this tool removes care guidelines data from all practices for the patient if enterprise chart is enabled.
- Select the I have read, understood, and agree to remove Care Guidelines data from ALL practices check box.
The AGREE button with read-only fields for date, time, and your name.
- Select AGREE.
Today’s date, time, and your name appears in the read-only fields, along with the action completed. The Clear Enterprise Chart enabled patient Care Guidelines check box appears in the read-only fields for time, date, and your name.
- Select the Clear Enterprise Chart enabled patient Care Guidelines check box.
The Accept button is available.
- Select Accept.
A message appears stating to proceed if you wish to delete all the existing patient level data.
- Select Yes.
Today’s date, time, and your name appears in the read-only fields, along with the action completed.
- Select the I have read, understood, and agree to remove Care Guidelines data from ALL practices check box.
- Select Save & Close.
