View Referrals by Provider or Location

When Referrals is selected from the Order Options section, the grid View defaults to Providers. Open the My Custom Plan template. On the My Plan panel, select a diagnosis from the grid. In the Order Options section, select Referrals. In the Provider column, Show Internal may be the top option; leave the option to only see internal provider names. Note: The practice can set the default display to Allon the My Custom Plan Setup practice template, General Configuration panel by selecting the Set Default Display for Plan Type in My Custom Plan link. To view the names of every provider, select Show All, select a physician's name, and then set the Reason for Referral and Timeframe as appropriate. You can save a referral as part of an order set on the My Custom Plan template. The filter on the Referrals plan type to Showincludes the options for All or Order Set. Assign a Referral to a Group of Providers

The Location view is used to enter a referral that is not specific to one provider. On the My Custom Plan template, My Plan panel, select a diagnosis. Under Order Options, select Referrals. Next to View, select Locations and click a location. Note: The Referrals plan type, Location list includes the options to Show All or Show Internal. These lists are configured in File Maintenance. Enter a Specialty, Reason for Referral, and Timeframe. Enter any additional information in the General Comments field. The General Comments field includes My Phrases/Common Phrases links. Enter and View Diagnoses on My Custom Plan

Orders can only be created after an assessment is designated for the encounter. On the My Custom Plan template, My Plan panel, do one of the following actions: Next to Diagnosis Selection, select the desired search option (Today's Assessments or Clinical Problems) to highlight the assessment in the grid. Click the Dx Search link to open the diagnosis search window. Search for and highlight the correct diagnosis. Click Select to return to My Custom Plan. Click Add/Edit Assessment or Add/Edit Problems below the grid (depending on the search option selected) to add as many assessments and/or clinical problems as is required. Click Save & Close to return to My Custom Plan. Note: There are five diagnoses or four clinical problems immediately visible in the grid with the option to scroll down to view all of the entered data. View Order Sets with a Referral

Open the My Custom Plan template. With the diagnosis highlighted, go to the Order Options section to choose the Plan Type of Order Set. Override Default Vendors for Lab and Radiology Orders

With the option to Bypass Order Module Processing turned on, you can change the lab and radiology vendors from preset defaults on the My Plan panel. On the My Custom Plan template, click the Lab Vendor field to select a vendor from the list. In the Billing Type, click to select a value from the list. Click the Priority to enter an item from the Priority of order list. You can select Quest/Lab Corp PSC Hold and the Quest/Lab Corp PSC Hold check box. In the Radiology Vendor field, click to select a vendor from the list. Click the Billing Type field to select a value from the list. Set the Rendering Provider for Your Practice

The configured provider preferences are the basis for the provider search functionality on My Custom Plan. The search functionality to document a provider associated with a Referrals plan type is based on two lists: Internal Only and All. The option to Show Internal Only is comprised of the provider records that include a designation for rendering physicians at the practice. Open the File Maintenance application. Select Master Files > EHR > Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click the appropriate provider's name. The Modify Provider Information window opens for the selected physician. On the Practice tab, select the option to make the open provider record a Rendering provider at this practice. Modify Provider Information Click OK to return to the Provider List. Click Closeto save the designation. Return to NextGen® Enterprise to ensure that the provider's name is available on the Show Internal Only list during a provider search on the My Custom Plan template. Parent top
