View Referrals by Provider or Location

When Referrals is selected from the Order Options section, the grid View defaults to Providers. Open the My Custom Plan template. On the My Plan panel, select a diagnosis from the grid. In the Order Options section, select Referrals. In the Provider column, Show Internal may be the top option; leave the option to only see internal provider names. Note: The practice can set the default display to Allon the My Custom Plan Setup practice template, General Configuration panel by selecting the Set Default Display for Plan Type in My Custom Plan link. To view the names of every provider, select Show All, select a physician's name, and then set the Reason for Referral and Timeframe as appropriate. You can save a referral as part of an order set on the My Custom Plan template. The filter on the Referrals plan type to Showincludes the options for All or Order Set. Enter and View Diagnoses on My Custom Plan

Orders can only be created after an assessment is designated for the encounter. On the My Custom Plan template, My Plan panel, do one of the following actions: Next to Diagnosis Selection, select the desired search option (Today's Assessments or Clinical Problems) to highlight the assessment in the grid. Click the Dx Search link to open the diagnosis search window. Search for and highlight the correct diagnosis. Click Select to return to My Custom Plan. Click Add/Edit Assessment or Add/Edit Problems below the grid (depending on the search option selected) to add as many assessments and/or clinical problems as is required. Click Save & Close to return to My Custom Plan. Note: There are five diagnoses or four clinical problems immediately visible in the grid with the option to scroll down to view all of the entered data. Search for Providers on a Plan Type

The functionality to search for and select a provider name is available on the Referrals, Follow-up, Lab Orders, Diagnostics, Office Medications, and Instructions plan types on the My Custom Plan template. On the My Custom Plan template, My Plan panel, highlight a diagnosis. My Plan Under Order Options, select Referrals and next to View, select Providers. Note: The Referrals plan type includes the options to Show All or Show Internal Only. These lists are based on the rendering provider designation selected in File Maintenance. Show Internal Only is comprised of the provider records that include the rendering designation. To search for a provider in the Follow-up plan type, select Follow-up. A Search field displays above the grid: The list only includes the provider names that contain the string of values entered into the Search field in either the last name or first name when the magnifying glass button is selected. Order Referrals in the Referral Order Template

You can place referral orders for other specialties, providers, therapies, and durable medical equipment. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Referral Order. The Referral Order template opens. To add diagnoses and procedures for the order, select Dx & Px. Note: Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must select at least one diagnosis to order referrals. Optional: To indicate that the referral is internal, select Internal referral. Select the date of injury and insurance name. Note: By default, the encounter date appears in Date. You can change the date, if needed. The policy number is automatically filled based on the selected insurance name. You can select the Medications or Immunizations links at any time during the encounter to access the associated module. You can use the Referrals Order template to add a referral. Select any of the informational buttons to learn more about the Referrals Order template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Referrals Order template, in the Insurance name field, select to select from the patient's available options. Enter the insurance policy number in the Policy # field. In the To section, select Specialty/specialist name/site. To select a value from the list, select the Specialty field. Referrals Order The Provider name field fills based on the set default referral provider recipient. The Preferred Provider Picklist window opens if there are multiple referral providers (individual providers and practices) that are configured to the specialty via File Maintenance. You can document the details of referrals to order them for a patient. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order.
