View Referrals by Provider or Location
When Referrals is selected from the Order Options section, the grid View defaults to Providers. Open the My Custom Plan template. On the My Plan panel, select a diagnosis from the grid. In the Order Options section, select Referrals. In the Provider column, Show Internal may be the top option; leave the option to only see internal provider names. Note: The practice can set the default display to Allon the My Custom Plan Setup practice template, General Configuration panel by selecting the Set Default Display for Plan Type in My Custom Plan link. To view the names of every provider, select Show All, select a physician's name, and then set the Reason for Referral and Timeframe as appropriate. You can save a referral as part of an order set on the My Custom Plan template. The filter on the Referrals plan type to Showincludes the options for All or Order Set. Pending Orders with Bypass Order Module Processing On or Off
With the Bypass Order Module Processing option turned on, orders added from the Order Options section appear in a grid for Pending Orders. When you place an order, the item is sent to the Orders table and appears in other order grids throughout the Framework templates. With the option to Bypass Order Module Processing turned off, you can update pending orders as follows: If all of the items in the order set for the selected diagnosis are intended to be ordered, you can select Place Order to update the grid for Pending Orders and the Orders module. When no order set is available for the diagnosis code, a Plan Type and details can be selected from a full list in the Order Options section. The orders are selected individually and added to Pending Orders section. The process is repeated until all orders are in the Pending Orders list for the selected diagnosis code. Update a Referral Associated with an Order Set
Open the My Custom Plan template. Highlight a row from the order set populating in the grid for the Pending Orders section. In the Order Options section, highlight the order to be modified and make the necessary changes to the referral. Click Update. Notice the referral is updated in the grid under Pending Orders. Add Order Sets on Row Select
On the My Custom Plan template, use the Diagnosis Selection options to enter an ordering assessment. If not already mapped, click Mapping Required to select a Diagnosis Group. To enter a new Order Set: Select the On Row Select: Add to Pending Orders check box. Choose orders from the Order Options selections. In the Create Order Set field, enter a new name for the set. To set the order set as a default for the selected diagnosis group, select Set As Default For Dx Group. Click Save. Click Yes in the resulting Warning window and then click OK. Note: The system does not duplicate names for an Order Set associated with a single provider. Order sets can also be created and managed in the My Custom Plan Setup template. The selected values appear in the grid for Pending Orders. Answer any Ask at Order Entry (AOE) questions that appear. Click Place Order. Plan Types
Individual orders are grouped into plan types that appear in the Order Options section of the My Custom Plan template. The plan type for Order Set appears in the Order Options section on the My Custom Plan template. Upon selection, all of the orders from every plan type appear, making it possible for any order in the Order Set type to be moved to the Pending Orders grid with one click or for individual orders to be entered on row select. A Disposition field and the option to mark it as Refused are available at the bottom of the My Plan panel for easier access. In previous versions of the My Custom Plan template, disposition was available as a plan type. Pending Orders Note: You can manage the Lab and Diagnostics plan types in the NextGen Compendium. You can maintain the Office Medications, Office Procedures, Office Supplies, and Office Labs plan types in the Service Item Categories in File Maintenance. Enter and View Diagnoses on My Custom Plan
Orders can only be created after an assessment is designated for the encounter. On the My Custom Plan template, My Plan panel, do one of the following actions: Next to Diagnosis Selection, select the desired search option (Today's Assessments or Clinical Problems) to highlight the assessment in the grid. Click the Dx Search link to open the diagnosis search window. Search for and highlight the correct diagnosis. Click Select to return to My Custom Plan. Click Add/Edit Assessment or Add/Edit Problems below the grid (depending on the search option selected) to add as many assessments and/or clinical problems as is required. Click Save & Close to return to My Custom Plan. Note: There are five diagnoses or four clinical problems immediately visible in the grid with the option to scroll down to view all of the entered data. The assessments can be sorted on the Add or Update Assessment template (Assessments tab in the My Plan tabbed template set). After a new order is created, the diagnosis
