Manage Pediatric Screening

You can document and manage the screening tests and results for a patient using the screening buttons in the Screening panel on the Pediatric SOAP template. Open the Pediatric SOAP template. To document the screening instrument, click the appropriate button from the Screening panel. To document the vision acuity details and the color vision test results, click Vision and enter the details on the Vision Screening - PE template. To document the patient's audiometry test details, click Hearing and enter the details on the Tone audiometry - PE template. To document the details of the tuberculosis risk assessment and skin test, click PPD and enter the details on the Tuberculin Skin Test template. To document the patient's depression screening details, click PHQ and enter the details on the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-2) template. Pediatric Screening for Well Child

You can document and manage the screening tests and results in the Screening panel. In the Screening panel on the Pediatric SOAP template, you can do the following: Document different screenings for a patient using the screening buttons in the panel. View the patient's screening tests and results from the grid. Remove some of the screening results from the grid. Open the document attached to the screening results, if available. View the lab results for the pediatric patient. View Metrics Flowsheets on the Care Guidelines Template

Providers can view metrics for a patient such as lab and vital signs values, for up to 10 rows of data on the Care Guidelines template in the Metrics panel. Data is displayed in a flowsheet format that can be configured by practice or by provider on the Flowsheets Setup practice template. The Metrics grid is view-only and displays results from the Orders module. The Metrics grid also displays vital signs and vision screening. Metrics flowsheets are displayed on the Metrics panel when you select a condition listed in the blue left side pane of the Care Guidelines template. The conditions listed are those for which clinical guidelines have been activated for the patient. When you first open the Care Guidelines template and expand the Metrics panel, it appears blank. Flow sheets do not appear until you select a guideline listed in the blue left side bar under Outstanding Guidelines. Metrics

You can view the metrics for a patient and can be configured using the Flowsheets Setup template. In the Metrics panel you can view metrics for a patient, lab and vital signs values, for up to 10 rows of data. Flowsheets do not appear until you select a guideline listed in the left pane in Outstanding Guidelines. Note: A guideline should have metrics configured in order to display flowsheets. Flowsheets in the Metrics panel are configured on the Flowsheets Setup practice template. Default flowsheet is setup at the practice level and comes shipped with the system, and can be edited or added. You can also setup the flowsheets. Open the Flowsheets Setup Practice Template You can create a flowsheet setup or configure the existing flowsheet.

Add a Lab Test Item to Pediatric Guidelines

You can add a lab test item to the pediatric guidelines. Click the File menu, and select System \ Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All. Select Flowsheets Setup, and click OK. The Flowsheets Setup template opens. Flowsheets Setup Click the Condition field, and select Peds in the list. To configure for a provider, click the Provider field and select a rendering provider in the list. Click the blank field above Category, and select Lab Test. Click the blank field above Item Name and select a lab test item and click OK to add to the Peds guideline. Click Add. The lab test item has been added to the Peds guidelines. Before you begin You must ensure that you have the necessary access rights in System Administrator for the Orders Module. You can view the results of a patient's laboratory tests. Additionally, you can open the Orders Module and view the order details associated with a result.
